14,5 cm. Difficult to measure it now that it is installed, but check out the hackaday.io blog entry for a picture including measurement

What’s the mechanism to open the door on return to dock? Is it the Google home activating it or is it connected to the robot vacuum’s API?

On return the robot sends an event message to the manufactor's server. I've a software running to listen to that event, open the door and wait for the robot to arrive.

Cool solution! Aren't most cabinet legs closer together than the width of the cabinet? Did you have to change something there?

Nope. It is tight but there was just enough space. Occasionally the robot needs one or two attempts to park.

Hi Erik, this week I raised the garage floor a bit so the robot doesn't get stuck at the foot plate of the cabinet feet. New video uploaded

Heute, 3 Jahre später, ist der Schlauch immer noch weich und lässt sich gut quetschen.
