Hi I’m wanting to buy one but I’m 60cm which is in the middle of the large and the extra large I’ve seen people saying they run larger than other helmets would you suggest a large ?
How's the quality of this JDC fxrt fairing? I haven't been thinking about getting this on my 20 LRS. Do painter reqd alot of prep work on this prime finish with JDC?
I have the exact same helmet and I can't find the ECE certification anywhere on the helmet. Can you? I was approached by the police a couple of days ago and couldn't find it. Luckily the police officer knew Simpson helmets and let me go but I might not be so lucky the next time. Thanks!

looking to do this with my 2020 Lowrider S, did that JD Customs fairing come ready to paint or did you need to prep and sand it down to have it painted? It looked nice coming out of the box. thank you for your time.
I just got mine and I'm not impressed. The finish is poor the fit is poor the hardware is good but does not fit the neck very well. The aluminum clamp needs to be ground to fit. I'm not thrilled about having to do so much work to make it go on the bike. I expected it to need some bodywork before priming and paint (which it does) but that's no big deal. I've been doing body wok for 20 years so I'm not surprised about that. I just expected a little better quality for the price and 10 week wait time. I'm sure it will go on the bike and look good with a bit of effort.
Don’t change the pads. They break in. I’ve had my GB for about a year and after a while they break in and now the helmet fits, snug but not..idk. It could be a little tighter and it wouldn’t be too tight. Granted I worked at a Harley dealership when I got my helmet so I was putting it on and taking it off. A billion times a day because we have to wear a helmet when we ride any bike. Insurance policy that mandates it as a store policy. Lame but warranted. Anyway. So after a few weeks of on off on off day after day it broke in and it was very snug at first. Definitely easier to get on and off now. It was almost uncomfortably tough at first but I definitely liked the way it fit once it was on more than I do now. It’s not unsafe but it’s definitely more relaxed
Love this review, really helped me solidify my decision to go with Quin but I think I will opt for the Ghost Umbra. Super sleek and the vents actually go all the way to the back! Really wish I could confirm whether there is COM capabilities between riders though.
Great review. Just to confirm, this helmet bluetooth will connect to another rider's sena bluetooth so we can communicate helmet to helmet? I'm assuming the ghost umbra is the same technology as well so that bluetooth would connect as well?
Great review and you touched on sizing a bit. I own the GT air 1 and it fits great because I have a longer oval head. Does the Quin have the same fit as the new Shoei. Specifically at the forehead? Thanks and keep up the good work.
It’s definitely worth a look. I’m doing a closer priced comparison on a Simpson paired with a Lexin G16 soon that’ll come in at about $600 including Bluetooth so stay tuned!
I'm thinking about ordering the Quin Quest. I spoke with Quin and they say they will have a pinlock option available in May 2021 for the Quest. Do you like your Quin helmet still? Do you like the transition pinlock option?? The helmet complete should cost me around $900.00-$950.00 after tax with transitioning pinlock basically Quin fully loaded minus the camera. Have you tried any of Senas helmets the Momentum Inc or Inc pro, or the Evo or the Outrush??? Thanks for the review. Stay blessed.
Still love the Quin. It's my go-to full face helmet. You'll love the transitional pinlock as well, it works well and doesn't impede my vision, even at night. I have not tried any of the Sena helmets. I was comparing them to the Quin when I bought the Spitfire but the video quality for the Sena wasn't good enough to go that route vs a Quin paired with my GoPro Hero 7 Black so I went that route
essentially identical to the Shoei and LS2 that I've used in the past. The only helmet I've noticed has significantly more peripheral range is the Torc T-1
