Congratulations! I am 40 next month and have finally found the courage that I lacked 20 years ago to admit to my working class peers that I have always dreamt of becoming a doctor. I am using my redundancy package to pay for a medical course. I am scared as I have a 9 month old baby but I hope she will one day be proud of me!
Wow this is so inspirational. I came across this channel by accident and l am so glad l did. Been wanting to go and study medicine at 32 and l felt l was too old. I guess there is no such thing as too old. Definitely going for that career change

I would love to hear more of your story. Did you need to retake courses to satisfy the prerequisites for medical school. How did you prepare for the MCAT? Since many schools require clinical hours how did you fulfill those? What you have shared thus far is very inspiring and encouraging.
