They warmed up for the police in 1982 wish I would have payed attention more to these ladies they are a great band no spectacular leads but fits right in one of the best first albums
Yeah Beauty and the Beat was a big hit at the time but people down the road of time are realizing just how great it was and it was a real piece of greatness!

Amazing how a lot of their early stuff has a really 1969-70 feel to it. "Automatic" is fucking great. Charlotte smiled because Gina nailed that setup perrrrfectly.
I could hear the 🎸influence too. But the difference is bigger. And Joe Walsh is vocally🎤much weaker. I don't really like his song. Paul's song is much stronger and timeless.
This is without question the best live performance I've ever seen by the Go-Go's. It's pure raw and energy. I hope soon someone will make a Go-Go's biopic. I don't know who would play Belinda, but Kathy Valentine looks almost like an identical twin to Jennifer Lawrence.
Strangely, I am hearing riffs that turn up later in MALE artists' work. John Fogerty's "Premonition" sounds a lot like "Automatic"; whereas "This Town" seems to have been swiped by ZZ Top for "Decision or Collision". Possible?
