I don't think this is a complete answer to the question. Sure, you tell that to the female associate, but then what? What if the issues in the workplace still persist because she's unsatisfied with that answer? Do you just let the situation persist? Give her a raise? Fire her?

Well this is a question from a viewer so I do not pretend to know all the backstory. You have to have a heart to heart with the person and explain what I said. At the end of the day, many people will get raises due to performance. If the manager wanted to go further, they could show the other associate's numbers were not as strong and how to correct them.

If the employee is making the employer money and is a valuable employee ...you give them a raise...if they aren't a worthy employee ,.if they aren't making the employer money , you can choose to either wait and see if they improve or can them .. common sense.... People who complain about someone else getting a raise or themselves not getting a raise needs to look at themselves and figure out why they aren't a valuable employee .....more often than not it's their attitude/behavior. Most employees have not even the tiniest clue what it takes to start a business much less run one. If your an employee and you disagree....then go start your own business and we will wait for your inevitable foot to be stuck deeply in your mouth. Most businesses when they start...the owner rarely makes half minimum wage . You'll work 100 plus hours a week just to survive and put a tiny bit back to grow your business....all the while you literally will be risking everything you have and then some. This ought to be taught in schools...would make the workforce a great deal better and more efficient...instead of what the leftists are teaching ...which is that businesses are evil. It's usually not the "evil" businesses fault ...it's how you are raised and taught and the fact you are very likely a whiny little lazy child, expect something for nothing and aren't worth anything to anyone except maybe the bare minimum. Most businesses could care less about who you are, what race you are etc...the main things they want to know is if you are going to make them money and aren't going to cause problems.....

I do believe it comes down to attitude. Anyone can hold a grudge about anything. Knowing someone else got a raise and you didn't stings. But when you look at it objectively, you should see changes you could make. This person already said they were moving on, why are they still hanging out?

Why not just give her the raise, especially if she's leaving in a couple months? You've bought yourself a non-fractured team for a pittance. You are never going to convince her that you only gave him the raise because of his numbers and "commitment", because (lol) you didn't mention her numbers, and everyone who has any sense for this knows you put up numbers and talk about wanting to advance and managers eat that shit up. They also know that the only way they'll actually get real increase is to take that supervisor title / provisional management skill and trade it for an actual management position somewhere else. -

I always love how employers have all these problems that can only be solved by anything other than raising wages. Totally oblivious to the straight forward answer. You don’t pay enough.

Oh please, retailers are paying twice what they did just four years ago! In California, restaurant workers are making 3x what they did.

I did not get that envelope. We were in business this whole time from 2004 to 2019. We received paperwork in our merchant account billing from Huntington bank and it was from a company fiserv wanting 25 percent for helping. Even if I use there help our business changed to a new location in 2015. Only 1 location at a time. Not sure if I file twice to claim both addresses. Also over the years we changed payment processors quite a few times. They used to call us every week trying to get outr business. We only keep records for 7 years then burn old ones so they only go back to 2017. If we did get this card in the mail then it was lost and I don’t know how to get a new one. NOBODY AROUND US KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT GHIS. The banks we do business with don’t know and tell us to use a service that want 25 percent. Even then they want info that I don’t have and there is no way to talk to them as you set up a claim. I’m clueless where to even start. I mean if it’s where they can run our business tax ID to see which payment processors we did business with and for how much then great. It’s not like I knew to keep 20 years of paperwork in case the credit card 💳 businesses systematically stole from us over that time. If anybody can tell me anything that may help I would appreciate it. I don’t even have enough initial info to set up a claim without help to navigate either multiple and forgotten payment processors or multiple addresses for the same business which I feel would be different then two seperate businesses….i just have a lot of questions and nobody to ask them to. Thank you. I feel that I’m not alone on this. If I had only 1 payment processor at only 1 address during that whole period of time I think I could figure it out but that’s not my storyline.

every seller is happy to serve every customer, and how much more likely to give him his space and his time to see the products, and when you are ready or we see you are worried, we come to answer your questions. the managers make us look bad by being right next to you and following you around. so all this oppresses us and we express ourselves with fear and despair, because when nothing is sold, we will be blamed later

Thank you. It is easy to say people don't matter and put in more self-service, etc., but the real problem is frontlines don't see it modeled, so they feel it is alien. When they do, they find they enjoy their job even more.
