I'm a gluten-free girl trying to survive in a world full of wheat! I was diagnosed with celiac disease (on top of other fun stuff) a few years ago, and although I no longer crave a "regular" donuts, I understand how difficult it can be to just live day-to-day reading every ingredient label and being terrified that something in your food even TOUCHED gluten. I'm here for you!
Sadly, 3 years later, Corbett's, Cultured Caveman, and Back to Eden are permanently closed! 😞 Thanks for such a great list. My son is moving to Portland and now I have some great places to check out while visiting.
You need to add Sugar Street Bakery and Bistro on this list. Honestly the cupcakes are ridiculously DELICOUS and they are named after Portland streets.... Naito, Hawthorne, Burnside, Pettygrove, Alberta, etc. This place is so popular and trendy but still a lot of non locals have no idea about it! BTW, the pear/strawberry arugula salad, ginger Asian bowl, and breakfast burrito are AMAZING...
I have been searching for a great GF mascara and eye primer.i have been researching Tarte but they are so expensive I have been shy to try them. I also have a bunch of sensitives so I never know how I will react to something. I currently use IT which I recently found out is one of the few products they have that does contain gluten. Which explains why my eyes itch so much when I wear it. I also wear contacts so I need a mascara that won't flake. Is the Tarte mascara flaky?
Thank you for replying. My doctor told me to Google how to eat gluten free. Which I have but I still have some gray area's on whether a product is safe to eat! Thanks again! :)
Hi, loved your presentation. Am a newbie when it comes to gluten free living. I was recently diagnosed with celiac and I was told that I was to only eat products that said GF. However as im learning to shop. I notice that seasonings, for instance, dont say they are GF & the ingredients appear ok (no Allergan statement) are they safe too eat? Thank u!
They SHOULD be, just make sure the ingredients are ONLY spices! Wheat may be used as a cheap filler and barley may be used as a flavoring! If you're just buying "basil" you should be safe if there's no other ingredients - just basil. BUt always check with the MFG too if they have safe facilities. Typically if it's just this hypothetical "basil" w/o no other ingredients, and there's no MFG on shared equipment warning, I would say it's most likely say it's safe. But being a celiac is like being a detective! Lots of reading, calling around, and internet searches :) good luck!

We're on the same page with the workout, endorphins, and healthy body! This girl will NEVER have abs, but I will have a healthy diet + some rewarding treats :)
We have no Trader Joes here in Ontario. Wait, do we? ....... I don't think so. But nothing is ever as good as the original Oreo. That's just a fact. Great video.
Just found out about this box and stumbled across your videos...... SO sad that I missed such a great giveaway but now I'm subscribed to your site and will be able to keep up to date on things.......Thanks so much for the time that you take to bring about awareness and information on Celiac Disease!
Just heard about this box and am quite intrigued! I, myself have narrowed down that it's quite possible that I may have a sensitivity to Gluten which causes me to have severe headaches. I've been working hard to eliminate it from my diet but it's really difficult when you have a skinny husband who can pretty much eat anything!
