This channel will be mostly for documenting our journey towards building our dreams.
Our current situation is we are living in a house we purchased in Dec. 2019. It resides on a two acre parcel of land, big projects that have happened are building my workshop which is 95% done lol... many videos to watch on that! Also completed are the front lanai build, the new chicken coop and back paddock area and we have started working on building our Ohana at the front of the property which will become an Airbnb when completed.
LOTS of videos to watch so go back and check out how we got to where we are today.
Thank you for finding my channel!

You can actually get service all the way to the top but depending on where you’re standing and your provider lol… I have AT&T and can usually get signal…. 🤙🏼
I’d take out that free bonding screw because that’s creating what you said you were trying to avoid… PARALLELED PATH for neutral current to flow from neutral to your grounding wires … 8:04
@@JasonFleckDaHawaiianViking mine got one it’s not the real expensive one at first i didn’t think it did cause it not where u put the other filter it’s on top of microwave where the vent is that sticks out further then the cabinet it’s a little square black filter and that’s the charcoal filter anytime it’s one that can be used to recirculate or vented to the outside it has the charcoal filter in it
We still appreciate the info, even infrequently! 😊 When we get our house built now I know we need 2 rods, I wouldn't have thought of that. Is that still the case even with offgrid solar only?
Thanks for watching 😅 yes it would be the same for solar but realistically if you could sink a single rod 8’ in it would work just very difficult to do depending where your at on the island lol…
@JasonFleckDaHawaiianViking Got it, Fern forest, so u know we have about 3 inches of soil lol. But there are a lot of big cracks in the lava we could use.
youtube sent me here.. I have a 20w diode and it's been a really fun journey learning all about working with lasers.. cannot wait to step up to a Co2 laser
Great video, thank you. What a privileged tour you gave us. Question; you pointed out “UKIRT” that you work at. Is that the United Kingdom Infra-Red Telescope?
So awesome! That's huge! Love that it has a passthrough. I've posted on your vids before and didn't really have any idea you guys were branching out into art so much besides the tattoo studio. My husband and I own an empty 2 acre lot in Orchidland and are still living in Washington but may end up in Hawai'i eventually- that or immigrating to south America. He's in a W2 job right now but I run our ceramics business- Moth and Raven Studio, both in a private website where I sell fine art ceramics, and my Etsy where I sell mostly mosaic tiles. I will check out your wife's Etsy. We've thought about branching out even more with a machine like this but I already have my hands in too many things, LOL. Only so many hours in the day, right? : / I've done a lot of wood burning by hand including some live edge furniture tops. I could easily see using a platform this big to do custom address signs, large wall art pieces, furniture tops. The address signs in particular I bet there is a large amount of money in. People like to be able to justify luxury purchases and home improvement is always a good reason for them to buy. That's been my experience with my shop. Look forward to following the journey with this!
Thanks! They actually do two different jobs. The mini excavator grubs, or removes at the vegetation and minor grading. The bulldozer(D9) breaks and cuts the rock to make everything flat… and the bulldozer is much more expensive lol. 🤙🏼
I'm confused. I've never heard people calling a building an ohana before. I've only ever known ohana to mean family. I tried looking up a credible source that uses the word in that way and all the sources I've found say it means family.
It depends lol… the machine is $600 for the day, adding a guy with a chainsaw is $300 then if Taylor is there with the excavator then it’s the day rate for that as well 🤑😅🤙🏼
This video is very old lol… we no longer even have that land. As far as the bill they are always trying to change things, most of it directed towards people that live off island and have rentals here, and mostly addressing Oahu. But if it does come down to it, we can just rent month to month… 🤙🏼
I’m still alive! lol… Been so busy working, not on the ohana… But a little here and there hopefully will have a video out before long but not a lot of progress. 🤙🏼
Well Toyotas run well so I haven’t had to change any parts the 15 years I’ve had the FJ lol except an alternator but that was my own fault for driving through four feet of water 😅 they do have autozone, oreily’s, etc here on the island so parts is not that bad. If it’s a desired car you might be able to sell it for more on the island but hard to say… 🤙🏼
Awesome job! For the center section joined with the coupler, could that have been one 16” stick? It appeared to partially rotate with the flange while you were demonstrating at the end, so wasn’t sure if it has to be two separate pieces.
Thanks! Yes the center pieces will rotate, length doesn’t really matter but since the shelves move independently it will rotate, but only a max of 180 degrees and then will rotate back with the shelf… side effect of using threaded pieces lol… 🤙🏼
I love this. Please keep making more videos about setting up structures for growing things like lighting setups for plants and even cool glass cabinets for seedlings. If you want and have the energy. I know these videos to make is a process
