Hiyai! Trading in my high heels for a pair of garden boots was the BEST decision I've ever made! As we transition from city dwelling to country living, we wanted to document as much as possible. We will be transforming our one- acre property into an edible forest using permaculture, back to eden and companion planting methods! Our goal is to be able to harvest year round in our zone 5b/ 6a climate. From time to time, we will share our favorite recipes, propagating techniques and how we are able to live a debt free lifestyle.

Title is VERY misleading click bait. You're experimenting... you haven't found a solution!

We’re you able to save the soil?

Yes, I believe so! 😁 I have strawberries and asparagus thriving there now. I figured these don’t need to be moved for years. I purposely left a few garlic in there to see. So far, they are growing fine. Maybe I’ll do a video showing the result when I pull them out in a couple of weeks. Thanks for stopping by

It will spread fast now that u pulled and carried it to the trash, always contain disease at its location on spot and bleach your boots. On a small scale garden you can burn your soil burn on top then to kill disease that was turned over from beneath when you pulled garlic up, dig a trench a foot down and start a wood fire when coals are in abundance red hot start adding soil dug up, add more twigs and branches or split wood down to thinner fast burning but thick enough to make coals, burn over area where soil was placed before burn, continue trenching but do not place infected soil over already sanitized area, move to the left or right, anyways the pot ash and coals are good for your garden. It was probably a bulb that had the disease and transferred it to your soil. If you dont sanitize, no more garlic. I grow garlic in containers or concrete grow beds this way it is contained if it appears, I can transfer very carefully to a metal drum to burn soil and rotted product then I dont have to burn the whole garden.
