Did all of this about two years ago, went with a junk yard engine; sent straight to SP63 for the build. These things have went up in price two fold. I would replace every sensor, and flush/clean/ inspect every inch of this thing. Only odd ball items I need was the timing kit to install my crank sensor. Good luck on the swap and have a good one.
You see I like this. Anyone who changes their oil at 3000 miles idc who you are we can be friends. These newer vehicles have all kinds of plastics in the timing drive and oil breaks down over time. When the oil breaks down it loses its lubricity and it doesn’t provide much of a coating like it should. This is smart for any vehicle I don’t care how new or old.
I'm looking at a 94 LS400 for sale. Let me get this straight, the factory setup for these cars is: 2 cats just after the manifolds (no secondary cats?), a y-pipe into a single resonator, another y-pipe into 2 mufflers, then into another 2 mufflers under the rear bumper? Is that correct? I don't know the pipe sizes, but I do know Toyota likes to use odd sizes and change the size 3 or 4 times in the same system. I would probably do this same setup, only weld pipe in place of each muffler and keep it exit out the back with the stock tips.
lol I test drove a really nice one of these and the car salesmen literally told me to put it in 6th at like 60 on the highway and floor it just so I could see how much power it still had...kinda funny if what you're saying is true which I assume it is.
You’re actually supposed to coat a thin layer on both sides that will be touching and let them dry until tacky and then stick them together. Once you touch them together they will not want to separate so you gotta be careful. We use something similar in aviation called 1300L AKA elephant snot.
Hey nick i am having similar issue at 4500-5000 rpm at wot i start to go lean (14afr) my tuner said my hpfp takes a dip so i replaced hpfp and tappet and still have issue. On the second log he said it might be injectors but my engine only has about 8k miles on it since it was built. Mods: sp63 2.3 stroker stage 3 piper cams pte 6266gen1 and all supporting mods
@Nickjoenap yes sir when i had speed performance build my engine i also had them install it and they flow tested and cleaned the injectors. Car was fine untill a couple weeks ago i had a issue with o2 sensor replaced it and all of a sudden cant go past 4500rpm on wot my o2 sensor is a bosch brand
@@boostaholic5471 personally I’ve only had good luck with oem branded o2 sensors. Tried other stuff from eBay and rock auto and they either didn’t work or didn’t last long. Not sure what the issue would be because yeah I’d have a hard time thinking the injectors are clogged
@Nickjoenap same here i my tuner says the hpfp takes a dip at high rpm but what supplies the hpfp? Its the low side and even thow i dont have a code or it looks good on log dosent mean its faulty. Ill plumb up my surge tank and see if that fixes issue
