My wife and I bought a Talon and we are happy with it...they are a good bang for the buck. The few things that went wrong with it were the dealers fault when they set it up.
Thank you for the tour. Looks like a great boat, wide and deep V. From Minnesota so see hundreds of these around. My concern is that Lund is riveted vs. Crestliner is welded - which is better
You could pay $4500 for this car as is, have it painted, tuned-up, detailed.....and it would still be worth every penny! The most reliable and durable Ford sedan ever built. So they stopped making it! Lol
Can youi share how much it sold for? I am a probate referee for the Contra Costa County (California) Superior Court (we are the court-appointed appraisers for probate cases) and I have a probate where I am appraising a similar boat.
You could easily sell one of those 200hp outboards, take out the bench seat, install small galley, put the batteries somewhere else and install sleeping arrangements in the bow. It'll be a tight hidy-hole but at least you could camp out in there. That's a lot of boat for a day cruiser set up for lakes, why not pimp it out a little and make an over nighter out of it.
Hewes Sportsman 200 boats are great all around boats. Don't know why you would even need the kicker. My long experience with those Yami 90's is you can troll all day at barely above idle. With less than 250 hours on the main and under 10 hours on the kicker and it comes with a full Sunbrella Tonneau snap cover, 33k is a very competitive price.
Thats a nice boat. A very expensive boat. Especially since the kicker is not linked to the outboard allowing steering control from the helm. With no seat back there, thats not a fun place to be. I don't know much about these fishing boats, but that is kind of a priority. The boat is only really large enough for 2, or maybe 3 people fishing. Which means that two, at most, people can be under the cover during that downpour. The poor sap that got elected to sit on the transom gets to be out in the rain. I might be nit-picky, but for $33K for a 12 year old boat, one must be nit-picky. Nice boat though.
Thank you for the review of a great boat. At that size, trailer able for a day on the lake, or a weekend on the river. $2 idea, chest freezer under bench seat
This young man gave us a tour and we have falling in love with this trailer. The price is right compared to other dealers. Thanks for spending your time with us. We was visiting from Utah
