Very nice build of the Tichy TG kits. I've yet to build the handcar & push car. I have built in HO scale, 2 (1915-1953) ore cars which were fun to build and they came out better than I had anticipated, 1 40' 50 ton flat car and a low wood side gondola which is the flatcar with 10 pockets instead of the 12 on the flat car. Both the gondola and flat car date from the early 1900's. It's hard to find quality kits or even rolling stock that date back to the early 1900's which is the period I model. So I build my own rolling stock and the Tichy Train Group kits are fun to build, have enough detail as the high end RTR and are priced right. I just received an outside braced USRA boxcar kit I'm gonna start very soon. I want to order the push/handcar shed so I can put it together with the push/handcar kit at the same time. Not many real modelers left that like to build things. I also scratch build for HO and O scale. Cheers from eastern TN

It deviated by captains orders. That was in the report. The ab was on bridge at the time as a helmsman. You are full of crap

Hi! I've tried assembling the P-47 Thunderbolt model twice, but I messed it up both times. Could you make a video on how to assemble it correctly?

Good that you can still make the waterfall in a non stick area (like a glass baking sheet) with the product Water Effects and glue it in your beautiful scenery later.

I was on the "full size tanker", the Baton Rouge. You really should have taken a look at the helmsman himself, and why he was even on the wheel at all.

Hello, Dennis. I have a question for you...I noticed the round weights you used to keep your parts in place while the glue dried. I'd like to purchase some...what are these weights called and where did you get them? I looked on the Micromark website but didn't see them. Thank you.

Just getting started with this one. To have it in it's landing configuration did you just skip over the parts that weren't needed?

Nice build and video. I love Don Tichy's products, and have built that handcar and shed, they have great detail. I think Tichy's products are one of the best values in all of model railroading.

Good video covering your building of this tower. I had done the HO version many years ago and agree it's a nice kit.

Thank you! I am planning a paper mill and found these kits two days ago. Wonderful to find something that from the beginning is thoughtfully engineered and developed for kitbashing. Your video was very inspiring.

Very nice! I have a few of these Bar Mills kits to do while the weather is cold. Was wondering what paint to use and I see you have used some chalk instead. I have some chalk already so I need to scrape some powder off for my first kit. Do you have a preference in this powder regard?

I was thinking that steam loco is having a pressure regulator, pressure in the tank will not affect the throtlle, at least at slower speeds. Not so smart .

This is a fun kit, but not the easiest one they have. I have built a couple dozen of them, and everyone was GOOD FUN! Look over their selection and pick and easier one to start. Then you will ready for this one. Have FUN!!

Love this video but it seems a little out of order. It talks about having pressure before the fire is built. I don't think everything is in the right order.

Yup needs shingles, it could also really use some corner trim. One thing I really like about kits like this are some simple kit bashing possibilities. One I would add would be some window ledges under the bay windows. A couple outside lights, and if your really adventurous, extend the freight side, put a siding on the back side and you have a LCL spot. Fill the siding in like it is a road crossing.

So hydraulics to raise and lower the wheels, but is there any drive train going to the rail wheels? And if so is it a U-joint connection or CV?

You are brilliant all my life I’ve loved steam Engines sat on the fireman’s knee the Mountain type 500 class freight for about 4 Miles I was approx 10 years old and I loved it so I am not a fan of the Diesel part of things so Greetings from South Australia we now have Steam back again called ( The Cockle Train ) and that is great. It can. In fact working with the Grand Canyon RR for 5 years I learned all about "firing" with vegetable oil. Works just fine, if you know how to use it.
