the more I search for a used vehicle it seems like the way to go is just buy a house with a BIG garage first. Then buy all the tools ya need? and then build a vehicle completely from scratch. sheesh
Great video! Gearing up and making notes of important points. How about a manual trans addendum? :-). I did the clutch a few years back and definitely did not have an easy time rejoining Trans and engine. Would love to see how you do it and any tips
My clutch died last week...After watching your vidéo I got parts from an online store and changed it today. Got interrupted by heavy rain while installin the driver axle. Thanks for your vidéo, would not have done it if I had not watched it 🤘
Congratulations! Your videos are amazingly helpful, you've got to be one of the best instructors i've seen when it comes to automotive work. I work as a heavy duty mechanic and will rip apart a 16L engine any day but major work on my dailies was always a bit unnerving but pretty much any topic that comes to mind I can find covered in a video of yours with better procedural explanation than the service manual & TSB's. Even when I'm away working my girlfriend who is not mechanically inclined at all is able to pull up one of your videos and take care of things. A new shop space is well deserved. The ergonomics of being able to lay things out and work on them without killing your joints can't be understated lmao.
Oh. I went to replace cabin filter today due to poor blower pressure and smell. Actually there was no filter or housing when i opened the hatch. And the AC evaporator is badly clogged, so now i need to try and clean it all out through the small slit cause i dont wanna take the evaporator out....
Hey man I did a jdm swap a engine and transmission on my 2005 Honda civic lx and there’s delayed shifting and all the solenoids are brand new..would I have to get a jdm ecu and program it or can I just reprogram the same one I got in the car now
Hey mate i have a question about the gen 1 model crv. Can you swap the front and back seats, door trim and possibly dash fascia and surrounds with the later gen 2 interior? Gen 2 interior just looks so much better, but I prefer the clean gen 1 look of the rear.
Hey buddy love the channel. I have a 01 crv. Do you have instructions on replacing front differential. Mine is grinding. Doesn't look difficult but would love to watch a walk through.
Wishing nothing but the best! You’re really knowledgeable, if I lived remotely close I’d take in my 97 CR-V. You’ve helped me a lot with home repairs! Good luck bud!
I woild ABSOLUTELY love to do my own honda work but no space and no time and most IMPORTANT NO FREAKIN TOOLS... I gotta get my life together. lol blessings to all ... BY THE WAY YOUR CHANNEL IS INFORMATIVE AND IT GREW ON ME... COOL STUFF HONDA BROTHA
If you did an in depth motor mount replacement guide for all of the mounts especially the rear motor mount on the rd1 it’d get a ton of views there’s no good videos anywhere for them
Love your videos, I have a question just changed the outer control arm on my 1999 CR-V did everything counted the thread mark it took pic the whole thing to avoid a wheel alignment cause is expensive but it still has a tendency to go right should I change the inner control as well or Am I missing something thanx in advance
I might have to replace my transmission. It has 344000 on it and recently I pulled the dipstick and it has a notch ground into it. Occasionally, I have been hearing a grinding noise that goes away when I put it in reverse and back up a little, then proceed in drive, so I think that a snap ring may have broken or something. I am not familiar with Honda transmissions, although I have rebuilt other types of transmissions before (of the heavy equipment variety). It is a relief to know that it will come out through the bottom, though, so I will probably get a used one and do it myself.
You are my go to guy for repairing my 99 crv learned tons from you. Thanks for what you do.. Currently replacing lower control arms, swaybar bushings and end links, and both CV axles saving myself a ton of money in labor!
Hey CRV buddies, my rd1 late model (Dec 2000 build) the exhaust sounds kinda bubbly/loud from inside the cabin kinda like a small leak but not full blown. Is this normal for them or should I be checking it out?
I just did this same swap on a 04 ex (well i didnt so it, the shop near my house did ) but now sporadically my car throws a check engine light, but connected to ghe reader it shows no codes and when you restart the car the cel goes away. Any suggestions?
