My twenties, moved to London at 21, Johnny Thunders was playing the Marquee that night, Mike Munroe in the audience. It was a specific scene around Soho, St Moritz club, Dogs D'amour, the Quireboys among many bands who all looked a nd lived the life. Don't tell me Oasis is Rock n Roll when you'd experienced the Soho Rawk n Sleaze bands. Great times.
They stole the show. Hands down this set was the standout of the day with bout 99 percent of the folks moving their feet straight off their asses dancin to the straight guitar wizard in hot ass southern California
these guys were meant to know each other and get together and make such great music! they got the looks, the style, the performance and the skills! luv the Stray Cats
That cat host shouldn't have called it 'the Brian Setzer '68 comeback special ', it wasnt a remake of the Elvis special, and Setzer was late '70s onwards, great song though cool 👏
