Wished that nine or ten got the rights to the afl. Whatever happened to the good old days of mine’s afl coverage. Nine and ten revitalised it’s coverage and they made a lot of good innovations. Channel 7’s afl coverage was depressing for so many years now and we had to suffer through more Hamish McLachlan (whose ego is bigger than seven)
When ten previously had the afl, they revitalised the coverage and managed to have new innovations. Ten did a good job and I got the chance to see the archival footage of ten’s afl coverage. When ten lost the afl, it was game over 100%. And they lost a lot of good shows including video hits, sports tonight and axed a lot of presenters. Ten simply never recovered in the ratings after they lost the afl. From Jan 2012 onwards, seven holds the FTA rights to the AFL. Seven’s afl coverage 10 years ago was a joke
I missed ten’s coverage. Tens coverage was good and they managed to revitalise the coverage with new innovations. Seven’s AFL telecast since 2012 is very depressing. I cannot stand Channel 7 because of not just Perth’s dominance in ratings, but Hamish and BT. BT doesn’t have a clue whatsoever while Hamish lacks insight in coverage.
