You need to make a removal piece of false floor to sit over the centre section under the splash well. Everything you store there ends up falling into the bottom of the hull where the bilge pump sits!
The heat and humidity up here in north Qld where I live, you would burn the soles off you feet if not wearing some sort of foot wear. I dont know about you but I dont wear footwear in my boat.
Pity they use cheap form ply for the floors... Utter garbage didn't last 4 years. No corrosion control either when sending screws into the sub frame either...
Great presentation more attuned to what boats do in the real world of fishing, family fun and relaxation. Shows stability well and how things go moving around the boat, and also how it is under way. The 4.28 demo/video was one of the best I've seen for a long time. The 4.28 and 4.53 have quite significant differences in certain aspects. Thanks for taking the time and posting. I might be talking to you and/or Stones Corner Marine sooner rather than later.😁
Wow, Aussie ingenuity 👌. I'm after a new boat setup as I need to downsize my current rig a bit due to my age. I live at Carina, Brisbane. Might drop over and have a look at some stage. I've watched the presentation a few times now and that swing away panel is great stuff for a boat of this size and type for many and varied reasons in my opinion (just wish it had some sort of side rturn or coaming to lean against). Thanks for taking the time and posting.
Hi Corbin, You will need to contact your nearest Sea Jay Dealer for pricing. To find go to www.seajayboats.com.au/dealer-network/ then enter your post code.
I'm very interested in one of these. As a do it once, do it right type tinny. Something that I can eventually hand down to my son. However I'm a little concerned about the seating (driving) position. It looks to be too far forward, with an uncomfortable reach backwards to the tiller, twisting the torso and shoulder, that would be very fatiguing over a long day.
You can get the checker plate inverted so its flat side is facing upwards. Some do this and then get it carpeted. Otherwise you can look at other model Sea Jay Boats in the same size range. Check out our website www.seajayboats.com.au
Awwe fawk I get sick of this. The boat goes well under power and it seems the bodies are assisting balance (as do almost all boats). What is this boat like in the real world of stationary boat in chop and slop? Moreton Bay is rarely if ever as clam as a millpond as you have seemingly don your testing in. Very disappointed, its as though you don't have enough confidence in your boat and architecture to show what happens at rest and real fishing scenarios
Hi Peter, We can't help it if the weather is flat on the day we've locked in with magazines to shoot photos & videos. The 550 Vision is the same hull as the 550 Velocity Sports, just a different deck layout, check some of the rough water footage shown in this video ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-FaXMsDuzwBQ.html Or the 460 Vision ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-a3dyYXFHaZQ.html
