Hi! I'm Raisa, and I love journals, planners, and pens. If you're the same, stick around and let's be friends! Let's talk setups, reviews, and general paper thoughts.
I was a day designer customer for many years. Loved it. But, the planners are quite big compared to what you’re using now. I liked the daily but don’t miss the size of it at all. Good luck on deciding. I think I will add their layout to my current planner based on what you’re doing - so thanks for the inspiration!
I like the idea of just using what you have for now at least, until you reallyyyy know you need an hourly dated page and if you switch to spiral you may not like it
I think you’re doing the right thing by trying to work with what you already have. Redating for the week ahead won’t take too long and it’s a good opportunity to experiment with what will work best (especially when he actually starts). Maybe you could think of a way to make it fun/fancy. Also, I just realized recently- “planner season” starts very soon. You could work a more permanent solution into your new lineup. It’s only a few more months. I can’t remember if you got the sterling ink mega version. Would you have enough pages?
I think you should stick with your low buy year. Be creative and work with what you have already!!! Not only you will be decreasing your stack of notebooks but I believe you will also feel more productive while using them. I know the temptation is high but stay strong 💪🏼
Hi! I have those mini hobonichi notebooks as well. I havent had the heart to use it. I realized why buy if your not planning on using it. Use it up and dont stress and dont be hard on yourself. 🎉 Happy planning!
Still loving your simplifying approach! Planning doesn't have to be super costly. And it reduces stress too. I love journaling with my twsby eco (octopus ink).
Love this! As you know, I did something very similar in previous years. I use a small tomoe river notebook in the back of my weeks as my journal so this is so special to me! I’m happy to see a new video from you too!
I have quite a few empty photo journals that I want to make into Christmas Daily Countdowns for my craft store. I keep buying need to stop and make the countdowns! I like your idea to make a goal.
It's anything you don't need to take action on. Things you've already done, you can just trash anything that has to do with it that you don't need anymore. It's helpful for keeping your files organized.
I think maybe refill glue tapesare available for the tombow glue tape dispensers. Im not sure. So instead of buying the whole thing you could buy just the refills eventually.
That is a very beautiful color! I think you inspired me to swap my cover today too! It’s a good refresh. Good luck with your unpacking and setting up your new home.❤
I’m using the plain black hobonichi cover with a coc on my cousin and a coc on my hobonichi weeks (I like it to be light). I’ve started journaling in an a5 ring bound planner (Holborn zip) and I REALLY like it. I will keep using my bound journal hoard until it’s manageable, but I think ringbound will keep me more in check in the future.
Lovely set up! I like that blue!! I really want to turn my travelers notebook into a wallet, and I think that would be a great set up. Thank you as always for your lovely videos. 🎉 8:45
Would you consider doing ASMR? I looooove your voice, just speaking a little bit more gently while talking about notebooks or anything really would send me to tingle heaven, I'm sure. Love your content! <3
I don’t mean to sound creepy but you have such a cute voice!! I’m so proud of you for confronting your problem. I love that you said “I don’t want to feel burdened by my things anymore” that’s EXACTLY where I am in my life too!!
hello, I started 2022 with a no-buy low-buy trip. and certainly with every year the desire to buy canors is decreasing. I had so much at that time that I still haven't finished it yet. Sometimes I buy something I didn't really need, but it's really fun to use what I already have. The most difficult for me is before the beginning of school when everything is so beautiful and I want almost everything. the first year was the hardest. and now I can just pass by the island and stop only when I know it is necessary.
You have inspired me to go through my stash. I also have a lot of notebooks that have not been used. I am currently going through them and have an extra bag where I put the things I have used up in it. It feels so awesome to do. Thank you!
Buying a limited intentional amount of stuff makes shopping feel joyful. I think it also makes us attentive to the stuff we get & put them to good use. I agree that using takes a while. My stash is small but it was used rarely and not enough & I can't in good faith justify bringing new stock while mine can last me my lifetime theoretically because of my infrequent use heh
Haha I feel the same! I have enough stationery for the rest of my life. It's daunting to think about, but maybe the upside is I'll never have to worry about buying anything again lol.
Well said! I am so close to finishing out no-buy stationery for January 2024. 🎉 I completely agree with reframing the challenge as having enough/being at peace/feeling burdened with too much, rather than a punishment. I also 100% agree that our consumable items take time to use up! I intend to do this once a quarter to reset. It's been good for me ☺️
This is great! I did a no buy last year with you, and will continue to do so this year too. It was so freeing and took a lot of stress away. Now, I did allow myself to buy Halloween stationary releases because I use them year round, but I bought only what I knew I’d use. It’s really freeing. I know what I use now, and don’t feel guilt or stress for my hobby. I have more money to give to small businesses too, so when I replace what I’ve run out of I can buy from them.
