Very good landing and video! Can't stop myself from thinking - who is unecological? We flying with 200 other people on pax jet or ultra ritch flying their private jets around and telling us that it is us who ruin the planet?
Is there a way to turn off that annoying pull up warning? I even notice this on fighter jets During low level training flights. It’s utterly asinine at such times as it is here.
I like how most of the planes there are private jets. Mostly the ultra rich visiting their vacation homes one week out of the year. These same people probably have a summer home in Martha's Vineyard.
I use to live in woody creek and fly a Lear Jet back then. John Denver lived there and I would see him occasionally...sad about his death, but he didn't know how to switch fuel tanks on his experimental aircraft and drowned in California. Sad. The FAA tried to violate us once for a late landing after curlew but we had it on the ATC tapes that we landed two minutes before curfew. I later flew jumbo jet worldwide...retired in Florida.
Imagine letting your wife and kids potentially distract the pilot at THE most critical point of the flight. There is a reason why the sterile cockpit exists. Proof you can be rich and stupid.
GPWS prevents accidents. The GPWS however, does not track airports, it does however see that a gulf stream is about to pass 100 feet above a rugged mountain.
My most memorable landing ever was coming into Aspen on a United Express CRJ700. Due to a state-wide blizzard the crew told us we might be forced to return to Denver. Passing over highway 82 a few hundred feet from the runway threshold (Aspen) a serious wind gust forced the pilot to quickly bank hard left. I was looking out the window straight down at the ground only 40-50 feet below. Otherwise the landing was perfect and passengers cheered! No more planes landed or took off there for about 48 hours (December 2006).
Every time you land in Aspen it’s a cluster they partum sideways knows he knows our ridiculous instead of just expanding the parking area which you know takes a brain !!
Next time you wonder why minimum wage is so low think about the millions and millions of slaves who toil and afford these global elites the opportunity to exploit your poverty...
but look at all the flight crews & ground personnel that have jobs. See all those fancy cars around the jets, people with jobs built and sold those cars...along with the technicians who maintain them. What about the hotels, restaurants & ski companies that employ workers because people with big bucks come into Aspen and spend $$$.
