A320 mentor channel is a specialized platform designed to provide guidance, support, and mentoring to pilots who are training to fly Airbus A320 aircraft.
The primary purpose of an A320 mentor channel is to help aspiring pilots develop the necessary skills and knowledge required to operate the A320 safely and effectively. Mentors in these channels offer insights into various aspects of flying the aircraft, including systems operation, flight procedures, cockpit management, decision-making, and handling emergencies.
Mentors often share their own experiences, offer practical advice, and provide feedback on simulator sessions or actual flights to help mentees improve their performance and confidence.
These mentor channels play a crucial role in ensuring the competence and readiness of A320 pilots, ultimately contributing to aviation safety and operational excellence within the industry.
THanks for the video, Small Qs i got. How do you calculate 3084 ft straight? any hint for that? or do we have to keep on putting arbitrary figures until we get the climb Gradient correct ? ty
It’s very important to know that the aircraft, because you have to disengage the AP at 500 AGL, you are CAT I capability, even if the status doesn’t state any degradation.
If for any reason needed what it does is swap the active for the secondary without losing any of them just swap, it's very different when you activate the secondary cause you will lose the active flight plan info.
Best practice is to calculate the Vapp with flysmart - compare the delta Vref with your status and compare it with the Vapp for config full plus delta Vref- normally this should be within 1kts. Then insert the calculated speed in the FMS and also switch to flaps 3. So everything is set correctly - the Overheadpanel switch for the GPWS protection, and your FMS with the correct Vapp - doublechecked for the failure case.
Thanks so much for this 🫶🏼 CASA lists "cost index" as required syllabus knowledge for ATPL (A) Performance exams, but as the exam is based on the 727, there is no such thing as cost index in its POH. As such, the main theory books provider for the ATPL exams here in Australia don't talk about cost index at all 🤦🏽♀️! Ughh this is the same as de-rated thrust for take-off. Doesnt exist in 727 world, so we're not taught it, even though it's listed as required knowledge 😒.
In this video.. There is a write up where it is written that after apu auto shutdown , apu air inlet flap will closed after 15 minutes.. Do u have any reference for this.. Just want to know
