yeah, I took a risk with this video lol. Lowkey I hope he doesn't see it either but a lot of what I said, like 90% I've told him straight up to his face many times. He agrees with me and my logic and I've tried to help for many years. Many many deep convos but j nothing comes from it. Just goes back to the same thing every time and then we repeat the cycle. I also hope he finds his way. Amazing guy, but like I said, I can only do so much. At some point, it has to be up to him. I can't just push him around like his personal trainer. I have a life too. I fully agree, I'm 19 and realizing and I am grateful a lot of my friends have good heads on their shoulders, but there are always outliers and they need to go from my life. I'm not trying to be mean, but I trust my judgement and myself, they gotta go they're not on the same timing and really are doing nothing with their lives. Me being around enabling that behavior helps no one really.
Definitely understand your prespective about school and do agree with a lot, with that being said, a degree is honestly just a backup if you mess up in life and had to depend on something to get you a somewhat better than avg job, time will always tell if the path your on is suited for you bro just keep going and always weigh the pros and cons of any choice you make.
This came recommended days before my trip to Japan. It's going to be my first trip out of the country. You gave me a lot more to consider during my travels such as the style, the way people present themselves , 3rd place norms with the all the cafe people not on their phones making conversation more accessible, clubbing(?) I don't go clubbing but I'll see. I've only felt nervousness in these weeks leading up to my trip but, you're enthusiasm about your first experience instilled true excitement in me for the first time. kinda surprises me that many americans haven't ever been out of the USA in their lives or even have a passport. there's such much outside of the US its a shame not even that but a lot of people dont even have the interest to go to other continents and learn about other cultures all love from the UK great vid

Bro, it's a different world outside of the US. We are a melting pot here in USA because we really have no social life. Everyone fits in here because no one talks with random people. Neighbors know each other, take care of each other, take care of each other's kids. Cook for each other.
The shock to North Americans is when they go to a different country, they realize the world doesn't revolve around them and they can't mass overconsume in a 2000 football field sized Walmart at 2am at night and the cops don't care you had a disagreement with someone. Many Americans see that as not living in the modern time, I see that as relaxing.
We lived almost the same experience with the trip to spain, the vibe in madrid was so fucking amazing made me want to become a digital nomad and move there, that trip was in November 2023, and I'm close to being a digital nomad and moving there hopefully soon, one trip really can change your whole life.
I had a similar experience with Italy. Ended up learning italian and going on an exchange program with an Italian university for a semester. Now that ive graduated college I might move there, at least for another few months again.
I used to sleep very late and now I wake up at 8 every day. It's late enough that I can stay up decently late, but also not sleep the whole day away One semester at college I had classes starting at 11 every morning, so I'd stay up till like 3 and wake up at like 10. It was bad 💀
the fact that u think waking up at like 7:30 to 9 is bad... like during the summer when i have no school i wake up at like 12pm to like 3 pm lasted i ever woke up was 5pm.. 😅

One thing i did is rather than run long distance ive been sprinting 100m instead, and doing that with resistance too. Like you, i fucking hate long distance running so been doing that instead. I was heavily addicted to weed in the 80’s and early 90’s, along with booze and weekend coke use, along with other drugs. It was weed every day for me. I was so addicted to it that I stole it and money off people around me. It’s good to hear people talking about weed addiction, which is a very real thing.
