Ok brother, you HAVE GOT to tell me what you use on your black plastic, it looks great! I have a 2024 in blue and even Meguiars Clear plastic polish leaves a haze and it’s driving me crazy! Love the grey color man!
So I'm seeing this & it's a good looking bike, no doubt.... I'm checking out several channels who have DRz400's & I must say this one has a great color scheme. Is this something you did/had done or did it come this way from the dealer? I'm 5'6" so I guess w/ a step stool I can handle it... lol, I've heard mixed reviews on the Kaw model as well so right now I got no idea which way I'll go? I even thought about a Dual Sport doing the SM theme but again, IDKnow?? Thanks for the videos
Man I'm sorry but is that a brake line sticking up in the field of view? Is that how it comes b/c I don't recall seeing any lines up like that unless it was some dirt bikes? Anyhoo, back to you
The color is a stock option with the 2020s. I’m 5’6”-5’7” and I got used to it, it’s a light bike so that helps. The brake line does stick up like that, you get used to it and it isn’t in your field of view.
Yeah, it's really a good looking bike. No, I didn't think it was in the field of view but I've been looking at a lot of different bikes so all those w/ larger fairings hide everything well. I do appreciate your time, TY much
I’m in the process of converting my 2019 SM and I’m basically doing the same changes to mine. Converting mine for day or overnight adventures. Next for me is the seat. I was going to purchase the moose seat until I wanted your video. I didn’t know Corbin had a seat for it. Thanks for the info on that. Also the 3X3 mod with the JD jetting kit is a must in my opinion. It’s how the bike was designed to run without California regulations. It’s easy and cheap. You don’t even need to upgrade your exhaust. Happy trails my friend
Add to your front sprocket cheaper easier,I just bought one, put leds all around and fender illuminator looks great,Take your end can off an d look its really restricted i was surprised good video
Video is a bit old now, but I wanted to recommend the Hondo Garage phone mount with their “buzz kill” system. If you look them up, they work great on big thumpers. Plus you can run any case on your phone. Super cool product, and no chance for issues with iPhone cameras. 🤙🏻
This senior on minimum benefits is looking for somebody that might be able to help him get some affordable transportation like this... dont know how to do a "everybody spare a dollar" fund... be safe and GOD bless...
I have a shiny yellow DR-Z 400E - 70/30 Pirelli MT road biased tyres - very predictable on gravel (including when fishtailiing under power) - amazing rubber on the road - these bikes are the best of both worlds?
Good vid and review, man. I'm curious about this bike but afraid of lacking ABS. Is it easy to control the stopping force? Like how you know how far you can go without locking up?
I'm trying to decide between this and the Klx300 which the dealership have both in stock besides the CRF 300 which is very hard to find and don't want to wait 8 to 11 months for a bike! Klx is a little cheaper I understand and payment wise but the drz I think I'd be a little happier with in the long run. But a little higher of a monthly payment close to $200. Which I could afford if I wasn't still paying off my Honda civic ext. I got 2 years left and can't wait any longer to get a bike!! Might be the klx?
Thanks for watching! I haven’t ridden the KLX300SM, but I’ve watched a few comparison videos, the general consensus seems to be the 300 motor can’t compare to the 400. And the suspension on the DRZ is better but as you point out it’s more money. Full disclosure I traded my DRZ in for a Versys 1000, but if I had space for 2 bikes I would have kept it.
Thanks for the great info on this Garmin navi and greetings from Germany. Regards, Glenn Rossi 👍(ancestors were also named "Russo" from southern Italy) 🙂
I'm 5'5" and I can ride a drz400 250 two-stroke 125 2 stroke. Just slide a cheek of the seat on the left side and hit the rear brake with the right foot, not a big deal.
abs and efi an minuses not bonuses. when im shopping for a bike im looking past the fuel injected bikes with the drive modes and the abs and traction control to find an actual bike. not some computer dressed up like a bike. i have 11 it certifications and 4 monitors on my gaming computer. when i want computer i get computer. i dont need computer in my bike thank you. I have a brain i can think and act for myself. people want a bike that drives itself like they can just go home and play forza or some crap
I bought it 2 weeks ago to replace my 10 years old Navigator lV. Not comparable it’s so much better. The screen is so bright and made of glass (I use a glass protector 9h) and it’s reactive almost like my iPhone. I did a lot of research to find a way to plan a route using Google my maps I now I just love it!
Just came across this video... Considering a drz and am trying to get as much information about it from owners as possible. Anything to share feel free to let me know!
I traded my DRZ in for a Versys 1000 this spring but that doesn’t mean I didn’t love the bike, if I had room for 2 bikes I would have kept the DRZ. Ultimately I figured out I wanted to do more long distance rides and wanted more comfort, wind protection, and the ability to carry a passenger. That’s not to say and can’t put miles on a DRZ, I put 3,500 on mine in about 1.5 riding seasons. It never felt under powered and the carb didn’t bother me one bit. I’ll say I got a lot more, “hey cool bike” on the DRZ opposed to the Versys. Hope that helps.
Overall I’m happy with it now after having it awhile but it’s definitely a luxury. At $500 I think it’s overpriced, if you find it for $350, it’s worth it. Thanks for watching!
I bought it 2 weeks ago it was on special 460$ instead of 670$ (Canadian $ l’m living in Quebec). Don’t forget the support is included! I paid about the same price 10 years ago for my old Navigator lV !!! If you can get it around 400$us don’t hesitate cause it worth it!
Thanks for watching! I actually traded in the DRZ last month for a Versys 1000, videos to come soon hopefully. The dealership gave me 6k in trade in value, bikes are crazy priced right now!
