I'm so mad right now! I've been looking for a good hack to fix these dang knuckle busters. I'm only mad because this is an awesome idea and I have these pins in my trailer tool box already!!!! I feel so dumb. THANKS!!!!
Hello I just seen your video of the jayco 325bhqs. My wife and I are looking at the same rig. How has it held up? We are looking at buying a used one. Anything I need you to be aware of in case we purchase?
We absolutely love it! Still living in it to this day. We are getting ready to sell ours in a little bit because we will be building out a bus, but as far as 5th wheels go, we couldn’t ask for better. There are definitely some upgrades I would recommend such as tires and suspension upgrades, but I would recommend that with just about any camper on the market.

Thanks bud! I really enjoyed and greatly appreciate the time you took to make these videos the information will be put to good use. I think it's only natural to have the thought about other people without drinkable water when making a video like this. We need more people like you in this world who are willing to help because it's the right thing to do. Take care!
Ok cut out the 1 filter canister and add the 3 filter can out side of the water bay. Seem the rubber hose they use as it was pex, but it not and was cut out. Switch to PEX B with the Pinch rings... Water taste much much much better. Thank you for showing this and giving us the links to get the parts. Getting some 1/2 metal 90 pex to pex and some strait pex to pex and 10 feet of blue or white PEX B. 3/4 " White Teflon tape. Pinch tool and a bad of crimp 1/2" rings...
Not an RV guy but installing a transfer switch to my sub panel. I’ve converted my gas generator to be floating neutral as it came bonded. I did this because the generator will mainly be used as an emergency back up generator and I know it has to be floating neutral. However, there may be a time when I might need to use the portable generator in a remote environment. Although I could take off the alternator cover and reverse the jumper wire to make it bonded again, I’d rather use your bonded plug method. Let me understand this. In order to use the standard 120V 20 amp GFCI receptacles, I need to make a 30 amp outlet bonded plug and insert it? Could I not make a bonded standard 120V bonded plug instead? If I did, would I just be giving up a 120V outlet? However, in a very rare case that I wanted to use the 30 or 50 amp outlets, would all I need to do is make and insert a 120V 20 amp bonded plug correct?
Thanks for sharing! I was wanting to install this on my 40’ toy hauler but I only have a little over 3” between top of springs and frame rail. Also I only have a 4 leaf spring and looks like they may be worn and the rv is only 2 years old! What springs did you upgrade to please?
Installed this same EverChill July 2023. Used it July, August, and September. Camper was winterized and ready for winter 10/07/2023. Just opened camper last week. Been plugged into 110v supply from my house. Refrigerator will not cool. Power to fridge but no cooling. Any ideas where to start? I’ve check incoming power. Will not cool on 110 or from inverter.
Thank you so very much. I didn't realize these generators have this issue. I plugged in my safety plug and had the same faults.. Open Ground and Reverse Polarity. I was too afraid to plug in my camper. After researching I found this video. What an easy fix. Thank you Sir.
You did a great job...but wouldn't a bluetti ac500/b300s and some panels be easier? Your system seems to be a lot of moving parts, for an idiot like me. Haha
oh no, i've been using the camco full time for a year :( most scientific, objective review I've found so far. can't help but wonder what the 'gold standard' is for testing water quality.. wonder if submitting original and filtered samples to a lab would be worthwhile?
A more permanent solution is to take the cover off of the transformer, locate the neutral and ground lugs and take a piece of wire just like you do for the plug shown in this video, and connect them to the lugs, put the cover back on, and you're done. No messing around with plugs and losing them and trying to find them or taking up one of your generator's outlets.
I would ABSOLUTELY LOVE to donate to the cause. I live in my RV called Matilda (my great, great, great grandmother). I actually got sick drinking the water from a Hillsborough County (FL) park last year. ... At least I think it was the water. Runs -n- all... Anyway, I'm an Uber driver and I live paycheck to paycheck and can't do it right now but GOD BLESS YOU. I pulled Haitians out of the Caribbean in the Coast Guard in the 90's. Most were dead or dying of dehydration. THE ABSOLUTE WORST DEATH KNOWN TO MAN. Please SAVE who you can. Philanthropist wanna be...
Why are other videos saying the opposite? That absorption fridges use way less electricity (because they can run on propane) than a 12v? People are worried without huge battery banks and solar, they can't boondock any significant time with a 12v.
We have that same range/oven in our trailer and really like it! The only down side was the range hood exhaust fan gave out and we are having trouble finding a replacement for it..
