When is the best time to go target these orange mouth they been on my bucket list for years but I'm out in Newport and from what I hear you can't target them out here , would you be open to take me on a guide and show me how it's done I'd gladly pay you for your time and help. i have had it happen only 1 time with around a 2lber,it was pretty cool. Most people i talk to say that they jump all the time when they catch them,maybe its just my luck idk
Best lure is a Luckycraft jerk bait,thats pretty much the got to when it comes to catching them. I use 15-20lb leader with 20lb braid. You can go down to 12lb but i really dont like to because i dont want to get cut off by a cuda. I cant really give you my spots lol but just try to find a spot there there is a lot of life. Back mission bay is pretty good.
@@matt_the_socalfisherman this spot is h&m docks... theres no such thing as “my spots”, just people being wack/territorial, just read the boat names on the video and find it, lol fisher man III coming out of H&M although i don’t know if accesible to public since its docks... never fished there or even been, just proving a point.
