I started living in my 1991 Westfalia Volkswagen camper van on February 1, 2011. It has been an adventure of life lessons and learning to live minimally. On this youtube channel I aim to give you guys who are interested in this way of life some insight on what makes life easier while living in a van. When I first got the idea to live in a van I thought it was impossible for a guy like me to accomplish such a thing. I was used to the typical American lifestyle. I had no clue what it took to live in a van. So I went to youtube and found information and encouragement from other RU-vidrs that really gave me the confidence to do this. After 8 months of living in my van I had learned so much about it that I wanted to give back to the community and share with other people who are interested in this way of life, some good motivation to live this lifestyle.
I got one problem with this Air Fryers the Teflon or Coating material on the metal i personal stay the hell far away there are toxic that's why i buy a simple one with only stainless steel !!!
This is beautiful how even melting snow and use that water directly isn't a bad idea ??? With all the garbage dumped in atmosphere like Chemtrails a filtering system will be perfect !
I enjoyed this video so much, it is like being there 😊 Great adventure to share! The drone footage following was very fun to watch. All of footage, music, dialogue and so much more was great as always in your productions. Thanks Chad
Love ya Chad, hope youre doing well, miss your van life videos...just rewatching all your early winter vanlife videos in your Volkswagen. I lost my 21 year old son and my youngest brother to fentanyl, five months apart and my best friend cancer recently and my youngest daughter has pancreatic cancer. Your videos bring me some peace and free my mind from grief and sadness for a short while. God bless you for that
This video is wonderful! I am in the process of putting a Jetta motor in my (previously diesel) vanagon, and building the vanagon to be driven off-road quite often. I do not want to sacrifice my new engine to the dust my vanagon will see. I should have similar room on the passenger side of the engine bay, except for the fact that the diesel version has the starter battery in the right rear corner of the engine compartment. So, I will have to deal with that. I would really like to get Donaldson part numbers for the filter assemblies that you used. I went on to VanagonLife's website to find that bracket, but had no luck. Today is Saturday, but I guess I can email him to find out details on getting a bracket made. Thanks for the video! Rick P
Nope. Negative. Absolutely not WILL not run a cleanable air filter. They do NOT filter enough to keep this kind of dust out. I’ve ruined motors because of running those filters in dusty conditions
Anyone loving this will also love Brent ‘ghost town living’ who bought an abandoned mine at Cerro Gordo and is rebuilding it. His adventures in those mines is fascinating.
So awesome thank you for your videos. I really enjoy them and educational .. thank you for taking us where we can't physically go be safe. God bless.🙏🏻♥️🇺🇸
wait this happened when winter was already over? March 3rd is Not the time for such cold temperatures and if they happen at this time they are typically brief so this was likely during winter like December January or February Just video was published During Spring
How crazy is this .. dude first video i saw it was back 5 years ago .. and today that video just popped up on my head i wanted to see it again idk why but i have been searching for 3 hours to find your channel 😂 Salute from Saudi
This is just unbelievable. Man what I would give… I have a Mazda CX9 SUV that I am doing a VERY minimal convert on right now to be able to camp in/live in for more extended periods. I really want this life so bad!! The freedom, the exploration, and just seeing what this World has to offer. I would love to be able to get a van… holy crap they are expensive!!! I am broke as all hell right now… but I have decided to go for it! One week from today I am out of my apartment. I am going to try it out in the SUV for a while and see if I like it/can make it work until I can upgrade. If not… can always go back to apartment life. I am doing DoorDash and part time restaurant gigs to save up money while I travel in between. Wish me luck…. I will need it!! You along with some other great RU-vid channels have inspired me to take the leap.
This is the second video of yours I've watched, Beautifully done. I'm now officially a fan. I drove the Dempster (Dumpster!) to Tuk last fall. Destroyed two tires and shattered one of my roof vents. Looks like Ice/snow driving is much smoother, but I can't say I am ready to take on a winter trip. Takes a lot of nerve and preparation. Cant wait to see more of your videos.
I Love My Boxeer Diesel Engine in My 1982 VW Westy 4 Speed, but need to convert the transmission into 5 speed! Love every time I start the Westy and down shifting! I’m getting about 28 mpg!
Bro i LOVE this channel. Oh my gosh. You are super innovative. I am also, one of my strongest traits. I have another idea! I wonder if you throw a quick snip into every single video, mentioning that you read every comment, and then track your numbers and see if it increased engagement. I.E. do it on the next 5 videos and compare engagement with those videos. Because, for me, when you said that, it immediately encouraged me to begin commenting and interacting. Because I thought wait a minute, that's such an interesting thing to learn. Because when you comment on anyone's channel, you think your comment will have a small chance of being replied to. But the average user might not think about if they actually read them though! So when you said that, it made me feel like this comment will be seen and my voice will be heard. That's a super innovative idea. Bro try it for every video! If you do it and it worked, shoot me a reply. I am saving and preparing to begin creating content along a similar genre. I'd be interested to know if it helped engagement. And when was the last time you saw a youtuber say that on every single video? I never have. Erego, maybe it's worth trying.
"Never done that on the channel before". Buddy, that was one of the most interesting things i've ever watched on this platform. We should all spend less time watching what others are doing and try something totally new.
Idea for you, friend. Example 25:54 - In this sequence or similar kinds of sequences, what if a second mic were set up further from you capturing the ambience and mix that in, in doses, to different cuts. As I am watching you cook, I do love the sounds. I also noticed faint ambience what sounds like crickets or such, as I turn my bluetooth earbuds up. Is that something content creators do? I wonder what it would vibe like with like a very high sensitivity mic set up far away that is capturing all the tiny sounds, wind, crickets. Because of the immersive nature of your content (literally my first video im watching of yours) but I just wonder how much more immersive it could be with the rich ambience captured as well. I wonder if there's even a camera that allows a 2nd wireless mic source to be connected.
