I'm going to go back and re-install Doom 3 just to replay this mod again. Top notch all the way. Thanks AS. It's nice to know that the story continues.
Very impressive mod. The ambient lighting on doorways, the particle effects from exploding mites and trites (glad to see them together by the way), and from the Cacodemons’ lightning fire. Also really liked the ambient lighting from doorways and the realistic, toxic shader effect when walking through the sludge in the sewers. Also really neat how the sound of gunfire and demon activity was suppressed while you were trudging through it. I think this could really pass for a legitimate remaster, definitely better than the BFG Edition in technical quality. The gameplay wasn’t terrible either, even though you got your ass kicked at the end. Cool channel name tbh. I put the first like on this video. Glad to see Doom 3 getting more love.
Thanks for your comment. The creators of this Phobos put a lot of effort in this last episode improving the sound of the weapons and demons, it has big maps and the difficulty is insane which makes it more exciting! they include puzzles and the Redux improves the technical details of the id Tech 4 engine taking it to another level. Overall I really appreciate these mods and everyone should play them I would love to see doom 3 legitimately remastered to this level. The Redux + Phobos combination is my favorite at the moment.
anybody does know how to get lost mission addon working with redux? As far as i know i can only run with RoE base game, choosing redux turn the screen black
Hi, I can't get this to work. I have tried installing the dll into SYSwow64 and System32 folders butwhen I set the DeviceName to OpenAL Soft the game has no sound. Any setup guide that I can folow?
Is that dhewm3 or vanilla D3? I downloaded the last version of Dhewm3 and copied the openal.dll and put it in the vanilla doom 3 folder (not base) that enabled the EAX for me
@@vrubayka Ι copied soft_oal.dll into folder "SysWOW64" on my windows folder. then I edited the config file of the game setting as DeviceName=OpenAL Soft. Now the game logs indicate that it uses OpenAL Soft engine.
This is sick thanks for posting the video. I played the game a good bit in Vr but after moving I'm lacking in space somewhat. (I didn't even know this existed lol)
@@gamingaudioisdead Well I don't play with headphones because they sadly mess up my hair leaving me looking like a muppet so the audio quality I won't quite profit from. Still thank you for your reply I'll make sure to buy it the next time it's on sale.
We were just talking about the ending cinematic to this mod on the 3D audio server the other day. There's a console command called "pm_runspeed" that makes this mod much more fun. Setting it to 320 makes it feel more like Quake 3 or RTCW.
Sorry for the late answer, first you need the patch www.moddb.com/mods/doom-3-redux create Folder Redux and paste, then copy the next patch in the folder d3xp www.moddb.com/downloads/resurrection-of-evil-patch-for-doom-3-redux run an enjoy😁
@@gamingaudioisdead So I have to copy all Redux files and where I will put it? Also, how do it with ROE Redux mod? Where do I put?! Please give me the following steps. I'm new here for this mod because this is hard! 😖😖😖😖
@@GamerJayvee copy all mods in game folder create "redux" folder, same for ROE in d3xp folder then select the doom "shortcut" and put the line at the end (DOOM3.exe +set fs_game redux) for ROE (Doom3.exe +set fs_game d3xp +set fs_game_base redux)
What did you use for HRTF here? CMSS-3D virtual surround, ALchemy with the native OpenAL renderer, DSOAL, EAXEFX or OpenAL Soft directly? and how do you set the reverb amount?
@@gamingaudioisdead Interesting. tho you sure that works? I thought the EAX setting in the Creative control panel could only add reverb to the system audio mix via post-processing, as opposed to proper EAX via DirectSound3D/OpenAL which I think works independently from the EAX setting in the CPP, like CMSS-3D 🤔
@@gamingaudioisdead Gotcha. Then I guess the EAX setting might only have an effect on in-game reverb when using an X-Fi in game mode/hardware-accelerated EAX? Mine only only has entertainment mode so everything is emulated in software so I can't check 😅
i got a AE5 soundblaster.. it seems like it just doesnt hook. nothing changes nothing happens.. it just plays a different wav file and that it. any clue what it might be?
Found this video recently. Good way to test your EQ settings from the dolby access app. Definitely gotta play around & tweak to find a settings towards your liking but its worth the effort imo
Hi, I've been using this solution for my Prelude for some time now. There is the known problem that the audio mode will reset itself to "game mode" after each restart of the system. I had this solved thanks to a nice hint from somewhere on the internet (something with the sleep mode). But I can't find this anymore. Now, after some WIN 10 updates, the mode always resets itself to "game mode". Can anyone help me out with what the solution was for this problem? Thanks!!
@@ALEXStudio5680 yes, it's 3d sound.. I'm using it for battlefield 3 and difference is huge comapare the original flat sound. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-JnpLUlD20z8.html
@@ALEXStudio5680 I have never used hesuvi CMSS 3D. It's look like it's use software(cpu), not sound card which takes the task on itself and not decreases the amount of fps.
It sounds alot better when you're actually in the game since RU-vid compression kinda ruins it, but it's really clear while still allowing you to hear where everything is
If anyone else is fighting the Auzentech Bravura drivers, here's what I found. You need to edit the t3.inf and t3v.inf and search for flashplayer.ini. Delete any instances of this in both files, and bang, drivers install!
