This was a great venue. Right next to this dude filming. Was an awesome summer evening. Well late spring. But me and my homie from Dayton so we had to be careful bout our za fumes🤣🔥 We got our Uncle Bob kick on “Echos”😎
The way that everybody's voice Comes out muffled when they speak The way we take our diminishing inventories Month to month and Week to week The Maria Callas records On the stereo all the time you're gonna get yours And I'm gonna get mine 'Cause in this car, in this car Somebody's bound to get burned I know, I know Because I've been watching the road turn The Enigma Variations on the radio The things that I could guess at The things that I already know And the twelve thousand dollars That turned up in your purse You've done something awful I've done something worse And in this car, in this car Somebody's bound to get burned I know, I know 'Cause I've been watching the road turn
I hear you and those chatterboxes! Most annoying thing ever and it’s getting more prominent as I age. There was a time when people went to shows to listen to the music rather than socialize. Reminds me of a Cubs game at Wrigley.
Only saw this clip tonight-Su. 17 April. '22. I cannot get enough of it..absolutely great. Rewound it so many times. Fabulous group of musicians, they looked they were having such a good time. Tho. I do know that some images do not represent the real story of the band's history........however they really do look like they are all totally engaged. With each other. And all I can say is that the video is just the best. I Love Route 66....in any way shape or form. But these guys, do it SOOOOOOO WELL. Love it. Please come to Australia...Though I will have to kill my husband, b'cause he won't want to come.....but I so long for some serious entertainment, in respect to great music-ie route 66, dancing in the street, et. al..xxx to this incredible band of musicians. from Sydney, Australia.
Beach Slang - a band fronted by a terrible human - released a song called “Tommy in the 80s,” featuring Tommy Stinson on bass. The song itself was reminiscent of Tommy Keene, and now I know where the title came from.
I love GBV and Robert Pollard, but it's a true shame that this was only ever relegated to an EP. Deserves to be heralded with "Game of Pricks," "Glad Girls," and the like. A near perfect pop song. By far my favorite GBV track, Bob, Tobin, or otherwise.
I wish they would put this into regular rotation, or at least play it more often. It's my all time favorite Bob song and I haven't heard it live since 2001.
Just now getting into Luna and G-500 - After Season Of The Witch I was expecting a Doors cover - LOL. Fantastic stuff all the way round. I'm finding myself liking the Luna output much more than the G-500 stuff (which is great BTW) I just dig Luna quite a bit more. ✌️
How's that? I really don't have to" post any live videos you know, but I'm happy you found it. I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did. Thanks for searching.
They've only done a handful covers over the years. Rare to get more than two in a 50+ song set. They played Saturday's Child by the Monkees in LA last month and it was pretty sweet! Wish I would have captured it.
