The free version this one: "Surface Add-On For Blender. 1200+ Displacement Textures Bundle" adds 10 textures. The 1200 textures + addon is 30 dollar for a non commercial version, and then you have an indie license for 100 dollar (limited to 5 users) and a full commercial license for 170 dollar. So... not free.
How the hell you have only 46 views? There is many RU-vidrs around there which doesn't even know how to animate and they're getting thousands of viewings. RU-vid algorithm isn't fair.
I'm just having a hard time justifying paying for software that can even be compared to a free one. I've always been interested in this comparison, but more for designer than painter. Might have to just try out the subscription.
My guess is that each render has its own usage. For example, Renderman can be used for art. LuxCore for the design of a room or house. Eevee for a cinematic movie. amd pro renderer for rendering on amd graphics cards and integrated graphics is also good for mini pc or laptop. It's better to listen to someone who has experience in all these engines. edit: Renderman crashing Amd Pro Render Crashing Luxcore is working on old amd laptop gpu indigo Render: Working on Integrated graphics with same time on mobile gpu. 8650g+ 8670m is very well multi render on amd mobile gpu with integrated graphics Redshift: rs_import error is not compatible E-Cycle: not working on old amd laptop gpus.CPU usage is really fast speed render K-CycleX: not working on old amd laptop gpus.CPU usage is really fast speed render with other method difference E-Cycle Octane: only NVCUDA.dll vray: Import error(module name)
Making materials in blender is a pain in the ass still Also, baking is a NIGHTMARE in blender without addons making baking in the newer versions hard to do until plugin developers update their tools
"Architecture visualisation ??" Made me laugh. Blender still doesnt have the very basics for blueprint drafting and snapping. So very few building designers will bother in the first place
C4D is better for motion graphics with Mograph. Blender is better in character animation plus its addons are not as expensive as C4D's plugins. C4D's X-Particles is great but it is very expensive not mentioning the cost for Octane and Redshift render engines.
I must be a beginner in 3dsmax although I've been using it for quite some time now. But the things I see done in blender I just can't see how to do in 3dsmax. I've just seen a dude making procedural wrinkle maps using blender nodes. How do you do that in max? Blender even has it's retopology addon now. What does max offers me other than a familiar UI?
In the end you need 30 addons to do what max is out of the box. + I can manage a whole city hi poly and never crashes. Blender still is some years of development behind . You can use for small tasks but when clock is running Max is way more robust and reliable. In the end you need so many addons that they cost the same. In Poly modeling nothing come close to 3ds max and its 100% non destructive modeling . Blender is cool I like the way they are developing it really is a promise, but still not up there with Maya and 3ds Max
