I experienced the similar problem... After 2 years (may 5-6 uses), the washer started to leak within the unit. As an engineer, I dismantled the unit -- after removing the covers, I found that one of the components (a casted part) had failed and broke off. I contacted customer support and was directed to GXI Outdoor Power (not Stanley) about the issue and was told that my product was out of warranty. While I understand that my purchase is over the 12 months warranty period, I feel that the issue is due to product design/manufacturing flaw -- a critical non-moving part/component SHOULD NOT fail. They then offered me a refurbished unit at a discounted price... why would I spend more money on another similar product with a suspected and inherent flaw?? And by the way, this product is only a Stanley OEM branded product (which explains why I was directed to GXI instead of Stanley).
Hello I am considering purchasing a couple of these for a discount, supposed to be new from original purchaser. Did you find a solution? Or is it junk? TY
I've been using mine for a while now. Probably about 100 times. After they replaced three of them, my current one has been going strong. But, it does leak a little around the quick connect where the garden hose connects to the unit.
My p2000 is doing the exact same thing. The motor comes on but no water out of the nozzle, just ours out from the inside. Has anybody figured out how to fix this and how much it costs. Mine is not warrantied!
I made this video to send to the company. I went through 4 new ones until I got one that barely leaks. The warranty only covered the first 3 and then they said I'm out of luck. Even though they leaked right out of the box. If I had any idea it would have over 2,000 views I would have done a better job on the video. lol
