The amount of content featuring products that claim to be better than the Vision Pro only to show a really poor unpolished experience deserves a documentary of it's own on here. This is absolutely not at all better than AVP...C'mon now.
Heyy I am thinking to buy the quest 3 but I dont know if the quality of the passthrough is that good because i want to use it for work and maybe gaming (on a big screen) Do you think its worth to buy it? Thanks :)
But most of the phone apps have their own apps in VR anyway like Instagram, WhatsApp youtube Facebook etc and now you can just chat to people through your new meta horizon app on you phone or your headset so I could just ring the person on the horizon app aswell if I wanted to
@@aloyminimum Thanks for your feedback, I definitely agree that we have some growing to do. There was perhaps a section that we entirely forgot to film as well, which would illustrate ‘why’ you would want to do this in the first place. I’ll take your feedback onboard for future videos, thank you for the comment 👍🏾.
Doesn’t your Mac already have a native web browser and messages app? Why would you want to work in a smaller phone window if your computer already does what your phone can do?
@@RayGill82 Great question, I don’t think I illustrated this well enough in the video BUT, some messages do not come through to the Macbook such as those from an Android device. I know RCS messaging will likely fix this in a few months when iOS18 is fully released but at the moment iMessage is a bit of a hit or miss with controlling messages that go out from your phone if you have multiple phones, specificity relating to Android OS phones. The second reason is phone calls and applications that are not supported on the Macbook, such as operating features on my car without opening the phone Or sometimes i enjoy jumping into a game.
Yes, you can connect to wifi using you phone as a hotspot. I recently went on a cruise and connected my phone to the ships wifi whilst the MQ3 was connected to my Samsung S24 as a hotspot.
People really need to check out the quest pro. While it's not as good as the quest 3 for pure VR it was MADE for this. Not having the headset on your face and being able to slip in and out of it so easy has made it a dream. I've used it 3 days a week (when I'm in the office) for going on 2 years now.
Awesome video! The title is misleading though, because when you say "Nuked my expectation" thats a bad thing. If you want to use the word Nuked you could say "Nuked" my low expectations because nuked is to destroy not exceed. Nevertheless you sold me on this! Thanks!
@@REmzRoller1028 They are very different in build quality, target demographic, use cases, pricing and much more. Their only similarities are that they are both VR headsets with AR capabilities. I think we can agree to disagree on this point as Apple and Meta definitely live in their own realms of possibilities with their respective technologies.
I use the quest 3 for mr fitness. It works, but it is not good and hand tracking is neither. I would nobody suggest to work with quest 3. The vision pro is a whole different story. But it comes with an other price tag.
Definitely the potential is there for way better productivity and at a way cheaper price tag. 5 monitors and work space for 500 bucks is insane. Just need continued umprovement to lense resolution.... 4k for each eye would be ideal and lighter headset.
@@christianlamb I agree, i would sacrifice the wireless aspect for Wired for higher resolution and less latency between image communicated to the headset
I just wanted to say that the passion that you have for RU-vid is immeasurable and each and every time I watch a video of yours it brings a glimpse of hope to my day so keep going and eventually you’ll be up there with all the greatest tech RU-vidrs from LinusTechTips to MrWhoseTheBoss and never think of giving up your perseverance is something that inspires us all even those who don’t know it yet. ❤❤❤
@@HaythamBakhbakhi Thank you very much! I really appreciate your support it means the world honestly. I will definitely keep it up and try my best not to lose focus 🙏🏾
@@subjectI17 Really, have you looked into increasing your Refresh rate? And also i will be doing a video on how this headset actually cured my in vehicle motion sickness!
The Quest 3 has provided so much amazement; it's my first VR headset so, even after several months, I am still blown away by the experience. I use it every day.
I’m not him but on my quest 3 witch I got om release for my first vr witch I love. And I mainly play gorilla tag mixed reality movies and as guards wrath 2 was great
The virtual world is misleading. It’s just a basic environment and you can’t turn its audio down. So if watching a video, you’ll hear the environment audio too which can be annoying.
@@Thegooob95 You’re absolutely right, i think that’s why you’d want Augmented reality when out in public and Virtual Reality in the privacy of your own home. I would say that it’s quite dangerous to be fully immersed in a Virtual Environment out in the public. The Virtual scene would fully obscure your vision.
Here's the link to the battery head strap and the quest 3 protective case. Link to Quest 3 Protective Case: amzn.to/3Y3T49A Link to Quest 3 Battery Head Strap: amzn.to/3XXRF4y
this is what i needed to watch! i wanted to know how would it be to work a vr headset and if it was productive and cheap. that will be my next acquisition!
Thanks for your video and information on the different tasks we can do with the Quest 3. My Quest 3 right now is mainly used for VR gaming, but it is nice to know that all in your video can also be done. Right now I have V66 update and I know there will be V67 update coming soon for my Quest 3. For the price tag and what the Quest 3 can do now, both wire linked and wireless, is an amazing VR headset. Apple vision Pro costs to much and I just don't like Apple products. thanks and take care.
Thank you, it's definitely worth it for both Gaming, AR and Productivity. It does have it's drawbacks though and i'll make a video about those soon too.
3:50 "Now you can work in a distraction free environment." Me: Getting ready behind you with a paper bag that I blew up. 🤣🤣🤣 Sometimes "distraction free" is not always a good thing.
Thanks for the feedback, i should have put a disclaimer about the Audio 😂 we had a very oddly damaged audio file from the Video and this is that Audio file recovered + a combination of the camera Audio. As you can see i was wearing a wireless Microphone so this particular case was very unfortunate! I’ll be doing a review on our Wireless Mics soon too ;)
And Once These Two Companies Come To An Agreement... The Real Magic Concerning VR/MR Will Begin Like Yes There's Meta Horizon World But A Serious Collab Could Actually Bring The Ready Player One Experience To Life. But I Understand Business Is Business. Even Sony And Pico And Pimax They All Offer Something Next Level in Their Own Ecosystem But Once The Smoke Clears And The Collaboration Starts.. Sheesh😅
I think that we'll see collaborations from other companies however it's unlikely that we'll see one from two large conglomerates such as Meta and Apple. They really don't see eye to eye on one key thing - Privacy. Meta sells your data to the lowest advertising bidder whereas Apple does their best to protect their user data
I have the Quest 3 for 4 months now and i can say yhat i use it nearly everifir one thing or another...from gaming to media content and watching movies in a virtaul environment.....
That's awesome! I'm waiting for the to introduce some kind of mobile connectivity to phones. This will likely be possible with the introduction of ios 18.
Double tap the right side of the headset to enter VR Mode bro the Quest 3 is my goto headset for Mixed Reality games and apps but for VR games the Playstation VR2 can't be matched in terms of graphics in VR games not unless you have spend 3k or more on a Gaming PC and the PSVR2 has a higher brightness than the Quest 3 and Apple Vision Pro as it doesn't use Pancake lenses which reduce the brightness of the screen
I have both and what makes the Quest 3 so much better than the VR2 is the pancake lenses. They make such a massive difference it overshadows anything else like the OLED screens on the VR2.
Apple Vision Pro is a wonderful product, but at the starting price of $3,500, it is way too expensive. Quest 3 is definitely the better bang for your Buck. I believe the Quest 3 is one of those headsets everyone should own. It can also do much more due to having those controllers. Hand tracking is just a bonus. Note: The developers that made that app Immersed are working on some AR/XR/MR glasses called Visor. It looks to be an amazing product as well. The benefit of having a Headset and Glasses is amazing. I have a pair of Xreal Air 2 pro Glasses it is like having a Movie Theater in my pocket. 🎬 🎞 🎥 😉👌🙋🏻♂️🫶
Apple Vision Pro is a MacBook you can wear. The reason it is much more expensive is because it has the power of a laptop. The Quest 3 is more of a cell phone. But, with our cell phones being so powerful now a days it is like having a laptop. But, they're not the same. The Apple Vision Pro is much more powerful and can do alot more than it does. They just haven't been in the game as long as Meta Quest has... I believe that once they figure out what it can do, it will be amazing. Too bad Apple didn't make controllers for it and allow it to connect to SteamVR it would have sold way more units than it did. They focused on the wrong crowd. We all like to work! But, we like to play harder. Gamer for life! 🎮 🕹 🙋🏻♂️🫶
@WOojerVest3andQuest3onMe I see what you mean. I meant what the vision can do. Not what it has the capability of doing, but what it can actually do for a non biz consumer. They hardware is great, and the OS is great... the apps, games, and experiences are lacking tremendously. It's basically what you do with your phone. Internet, watch some videos, scroll social media. Steam VR really is everything. Even Metas app library.
@aarongarcia2911 Yes, they definitely need to take advantage of it's potential. From what I have heard, it offers the best visuals and pass-through out of all the headsets currently. It would be so cool if you could use those Quest Pro touch controllers that Meta offers with the cameras. If you're able to use those with this apple headset and you can somehow play both SteamVR and Quest games library on it. This would be a game changer for sure. It was just way too expensive for me to even consider it. The only apple product I own is my ipad Pro 12.9, and I am happy to use it. I don't need this headset. But, I wouldn't mind having one.
I didn’t make any adjustments but i do find that the hand tracking works more precisely in a well lit environment. I have adjusted a lot of settings but mostly to improve screen resolution between the headset and the computer i am connected to.
Also on my Quest 3 hand jestures are too sensitive and I cant the steadiness you show? If I can do the same as yourself I don’t have to buy the dry-cell batteries. Thanks. Laurie. NZ.
Hand Gestures definitely work better when your hands are clearly visible in well lit conditions. If this is a popular request i will look into a video on improving the quest 3 hand tracking to help you out. :)
dude, a waterproof laptop? what are you thinking? you need openings cause of the heat exhaust. because your PRO macbook has a fan to manage thermal performance. I dont know what Reeze Media is covering but I hope it's not tech.
I can assure you that there is something that can be done to improve water resistance to the products without compromising the heat dissipation qualities considering most liquids are spilt on the keyboard and not underneath the laptop. And yes, we most definitely cover tech. :D
There isn't one currently, but i do believe it's not beyond their reach. Maybe waterproof isn't the right word to use, but they can certainly add water resistance.
