I have a leak on one of the high pressure lines on the rack itself, do you know if the rack needs to be removed to replace these or if i can access the fittings on both ends of the lines without removing the rack?
I don’t recall 100% but you will have to drop the front bottom tray for sure. Shouldn’t have to remove rack though. Front tray and the driver side rim.
@@512TXSDIY that I’ll understand. I bought 10 years ago, This was my childhood dream 😎 and I still have it😃 I have done some modifications over the years. I have installed hammer performance 1275 cylinders I have the full 120+ horsepower kit from hammer performance. I will sell my house, my kidney or anything else I have before I sell this bike 🤣 I just put out some videos on my RU-vid if you are interested 👍
The cam sensor is what my issue was and it monitors the camshaft position and rotation, while the crank sensor monitors the crankshaft angle and speed of spin so they are unrelated.
Shit baby! You shoulda washed the old fart dust off that cover while you had it off. Great video, my Ram is an 02 with a center console and lumbar support.
Thank you very much.🙏 The service said it was necessary to remove the bumper, but I didn't believe it. I didn't believe it was necessary to remove the bumper for something like this.
Curious, would this cause the transmission to slip off low or empty? Mine just started to slip around July 4 just stopped driving it. It's an 08 6 speed 2 door?
Thanks. The dealer wants to charge me $172. I thank U so much for taking the time to make this video. U just earn a new subscriber. Thanks. Much continued successes.
This video was insanely helpful but i almost missed a step! The O ring isnt mentioned at all. I barely saw it when i closed everything up and was gathering my trash when it fell off. Google search let me know it was needed.
I’m getting ready to install mine soon but I noticed a couple of things there, an optional “back video in” wire along with a red 12v pwr wire for it. It looks like you didn’t connect those wires, does your back up camera work when you switch gears into Reverse? Also I have a usb in center console/dash that it is connected to the stereo, but the kit provides an extra usb cord. Does the existing usb work without having to add the new usb cord?
Everything for mine is plug and play and yes my back up camera works when in reverse. It comes with a USB if you’re needing to do software updates. The hardest part is switching the tape wires from screen backing to new decoder since the cable is so thin and fragile.
OMG! $2K? That’s crazy and I’d do it for half that. Haha. All you really need is a standard racket set mainly. If you have a power ratchet, it will be a little faster. Very doable DIY at the house.
This doesnt fix high side pressure issue all the time. The wire part of connector also fails and the new part is a royal pain in the ass unless you can sauder.
Yes, same. The only thing to pay attention to would be the F Type since it since lower and has lower coils as well. This whole thing is built on a Prius platform.
Hello, I bought the same one, it connects through the same plug as the one in the video, everything works well but I don't get audio, which could be I don't know how you were able to install it because within the same plug that I use, there are two without connection, the blue and the yellow. Can it help to know why you can't hear it, thank you, regards.
Thanks a lot for the video! Well, it is 5/8" as you said, and not 16 as mentioned in one of the comments. I didnt lift the car from both sides which made the end link to be bent and it was extremelly difficult to take it outside - spent all morning on this until I realized that I need to properly lift the car. Cheers
I need to replace my high pressure and return power steering line starting from the rack to the quick disconnect. Are they easily removable from just taking out the under tray covers?
So has this worked for anyone? I tried it multiple times, in a variety of ways & durations. Still blinks when I first turn on (in 2nd position) and then light turns solid. Every time.
@@512TXSDIY better get a good extended warranty. I've been a Benz mechanic for 23 years those cars are fucking junk! The newer Benz are getting crappier and cheaper and plastic all over. If you want something that's going to last and not cost you a fortune buy a Japanese car. Japanese actually care about quality.. German cars all they care about is the first 4 years 50,000 MI... stay away from Subarus they're fucking garbage too..
Have a 2014 I bought used in 2016. Still going strong in 2024 @ almost 90k miles. Have had almost no issues. Best car I've ever owned. With regular service it just keeps on going. Rock solid & reliable.
