I have several completed podcast MP3 segments. I would like to batch process adding an intro to each of those files so I don't have to do it manually. Can Adobe Audition do this?
I’ve had to do something like that a few times-it can be pretty tedious. If you can easily add the intro at the beginning, you can simply paste the intro at the start of each episode in Audition, then use the batch process/match loudness window to export the new files. Be sure to adjust the export settings before selecting "run." If the intro has music that needs to fade out and overlap with the podcast episode, you'll need to use the multitrack view, bounce down the new file, and save it accordingly. Another option is to set up the episodes in Premiere, then export the new in/out points or sequence to Media Encoder and run it, which will batch process the exports. However, you’ll still need to manually update the file names. You could also use your podcast hosting platform if it allows dynamic ads (pre/mid/post-roll). With this feature, you could add your new intro as a pre-roll, placing it at the beginning of each episode.
Very true! Most of the time the Audition should recognize the correct inputs/outputs right away, but often it may switch to built-in microphone. This process is to ensure that the correct microphone is selected when recording, and helps with troubleshooting issues. Thank you for watching!
