I've binged your Trans Am vids since yesterday. So when you encounter a low spot, do you apply more fiberglass over that spot and then sand that down to where it is flush with the rest?
Yes, we typically only use the fiberglass as an initial base layer. We them switch over to a plastic filler or bodno if you will to finish it out from there.
I am considering replacing the tail panel on my car and was wondering if you have any video of how the weather stripping rail attaches to the tail panel and then into the quarter panels at the top, thank you for the videos they have been helpful
Hey Roger, there is a ton of awful how to stuff on the tranam/camaro. Yours is the best one yet, you know what you're doing, you explain everything so a 5 year old could understand it. I am doing a full quarter on my Camaro, now I see the entire way to do it and do it perfect.. thank you sir
Your attention to detail is off the chart. No stone left unturned! Cannot fathom the hours in this build, or the cost. That's a million dollar build lol,
Your 74, trans am, or fixing to be a 77, is turning out awsome, you have skills Sir, Bravo..i tried catching the parts suppliers brands or company, because the 76 trans am we are starting work on also needing the rear torque boxes and floor..does the complete floor you are showing have the torque boxes built into it? Or do i order them from who?, great job video-ing, cant wait to see out come.
The new floor comes with the torque boxes. I have a video showing us prepping and installing the new floor. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-bq6x_YSFaVE.htmlsi=qt391EsWBkfHZtc-
It is coming together great and looks awesome! I have never used regular base color paint for engines but I see it done a lot. How long does that hold up with the heat that you have seen? I'm sure you are the same, but I hate using rattle can paint for things but the rattle can engine paint doesn't seem to hold up too long. Thanks man and it's looking great!
That thing is coming out so awesome! I do have a question about the Raptor Liner. How does it look when you touch it up? I was wondering for my build. Say I clean a small area off later and weld an exhaust hanger on and then re-prime the area and spray some more Raptor Liner on that area, how well does it blend? Not that it is a big deal at all, just curious. Thank you and keep up the awesome work and the cool videos sir!!!!
I'll be honest. I've never done that. The raptor liner is a urethane product, so you should be able to blend it out. They make some in a 2k spray can you could use on small areas. Otherwise, you have a full 32oz of activated product to use if you go with the bottles that i spray..
@@rogersrodworx Thank you, I appreciate it. I didn't know they had the 2K can. I just looked now and someone used 1 can to do the outside of the Ram 1500 bumper so that can should be perfect for touchups later. I don't imagine it would last too long so I will plan on using the whole can. Either way, thank you for the info sir and have a great one!
Something I’m curious about is there enough room for the driveshaft to move up and down as the rear axle moves up and down? Seems really tight with the exhaust running below it.
Yes the driveshaft and rear axle are at full drop in the video. The suspension is way stiffer than stock, and I've checked to make sure everything clears during travel
O2 sensors need to have a 10 degree or more tilt for condensation issues. That sensors being parallel to the ground will be prone to failing and or giving false readings.
