Thank you for being honest and realistic. I try to avoid fast fashion and prefer quality, sustainable brands and second hand. But I also have some cherished H&M pieces and I am a true fan of Arket. In the summer I live in linen shirts. I have some from sustainable brands and high-end brands, but regarding longevity none of them beat my Arket ones. The materials holds up much better and also the finishing like seams look a lot better.
I lived in Birmingham in 2002, so long time ago, but I was really amazed by the minuscule dresses, without any jackets or coats, girls were wearing in the height of winter.

nice to see you back in London & appreciate your honest review of OddMuse! Totally agree that london can feel quite focused on new and fast fashion. But there is also a huge second hand and vintage enthusiasts. Highly recommend to check out for example Flea London near London Bridge, there's a stall by Stavi Slow Fashion - he sells amazing high-quality vintage designer clothes every weekend and also has them tailored for customers at cost to help them build a sustainable wardrobe. The city is just so big you can find the extreme on the entire spectrum of clothing/ fashion.
Every time I’m in London, I always feel like I can wear whatever, because I don’t bother about fitting into any groups. I actually find that city to be quite liberating in that sense. Similar in the US, although my style is more muted here. I know trends, but I don’t care much about what’s IN for different classes of the society that’s around me. I know that people, in general, like what I wear and appreciate the authenticity of my look
Don’t be sorry for not buying much! To me, hearing about how clothes held up or how you feel about pieces you already have is in fact much more interesting to hear about in wardrobe updates.
