It's actually pretty good for most games these days, a lot even run faster than they do on Windows. It's just a few big outliers (Fortnite, LoL, Valorant) that dont work because the devs block it
@@MoistGal Be fr, I personally don't care for them either, but to call them "irrelevant" and act like they aren't some of the most popular competitive games is delusional and a massive cope. I just finished High School last year, and both Fortnite and Valorant are/were massive for most people around my age
womp womp exploits, app INcompatibility, no POSIX compliancy, no UNIX compliancy (even mac has these lmao), ads everywhere, slowness, paid (soon subscription-only), closed-source, largest virus market, etc.
Microsoft is just adding new desktops on top of the old bloated kernel+userspace codebase, they couldn't even make a proper lib32 implementation so instead there's C:\Windows\SysWOW64 (Yes, it stored 32-bit libraries) SysWOW64 works like Linux FlatPak but 10x worse, it makes copies of same libraries for each app, basically installing new windows each time you install something new. FlatPak at least keeps a set of generic "platform" systems to run the apps off of (Complete linuxes with libraries for KDE and Gnome) and doesn't clone them.
@@FurryCuddler I don't know what you're even speaking about, But am supporting you with likes cause I hate Windows to the guts. ( My Main PC OS is Windows tho :P )
this is such a stupid comment, arch actually ships with a quite bloated build of systemd with pracitcally all configure options enabled. The only thing that would really make a diffirence in boot time is a custom kernel(which this guy is not using) or not using a display manager(which we dont know)
Have you managed to get a fully flicker-free boot? My system is so fast that due to the monitor turning off and on due to modeswitching(?) i only get to see the splash screen for a split second
You go to www.archlinux.org/ there, installing arch is explained, it uses plymouth, with a custom self built theme. The sound is added in post, but could theoretically be added if you read into it. If you struggle to hard when reading the wiki, I do not recommend arch. I can also not recommend it if you don't enjoy troubleshooting and spending time on your OS
If you use Arch then you are a ceritified TopG, no matter where you live, what car you drive or anything else. Arch is already a gangsta OS compared with Windows
@@HK_808 i acutally have an explanation for this: arch linux is NOT a lightweight os, its actually an incompetent scam. , arch actually ships with a quite bloated build of systemd with pracitcally all configure options enabled.
