This is my dad 8mm footage, check thoroughly, street sign says Old Orchard right at the beginning, then another sign says Kinney Ave, there's even a train going through town in the video, there's no train going through Coney Island.....look at the comments below, all folks remembering Old Orchard in 1960...thx for watching...

I didn't need to, since VU Meters were fine....keep in mind to remove the lower control cover, the ''On-Off'' main power knob can be hard to remove whereas the other volume knobs are easy, i tried on this unit, couldn't remove the power knob without taking the risk of breaking it....
Awesome sound, man! You totally have the raw sound from that early 2000s to 2015 era brown sound, I love it! I am curious if you have ever done any tests between die cast hoops and triple flanged. Is there any difference or is it negligible? I know some people preach the importance of die casts for AVH's sound however I am not sure how verified that claim is. Cheers!
The Ludwig diecast hoops are very light on this AVH compared to Tamas (which Alex was also fond of), i haven't swapped to triple flange hoops on this snare for an ear test though...knowing me, if i did swap to triple flangers on this aluminum 6.5'' shell, i'd dial it to Bonham tuning without thinking...That's how close this snare can also sound like Bonzo depending on tuning and heads, and how Alex made it his signature sound using diecast hoops, gaffer tape underneath the batter and his unique rimshots...
