*Buyer Beware: Emerson commander has major design flaw. The clip is not aligned with where the holes are tapped. There is side to side play on the clip. The mini commander has the same problem. My other emersons do not have this issue with the clip.
Is that a specific commander you had this issue? On my 2010 there is no side-to-side play and I also checked my Super commander and that one is also solid as a rock.
@@nerv5th I believe this may be an issue with all commanders, its just that most people dont actually carry them to know. The clip slides on my 2020 Commander, 2023 Mini Commander, and 2024 Commander Trainer.
@@FeW126 I understand so this is new production series problem I had only older commanders so far. From the new production I have only te TKF and that one is solid. And yes I do carry my Emerson knives regularly.
You did not comment about that monkey head stamped onto the non-show-side of the handle. Is that a "faker mark" or is that something to expect from a Spartan Harsey variant.
That specific version is a fake of a Monkey Edge exclusive. That's Monkey Edge's logo. Edit: supposed to be* monkey edge's logo, I guess is more correct.
Yes I forgot about the monkey that is a dealers exclusive version. They faked the basic model and the best collaboration one the monkey edge frag grip version.
They have to be charged and when you open the case and go to your device's Bluetooth setting you should see them if not they are turned off or you have a bad pair and you have to open a varanty request with the seller.
@@nerv5th Sorry, mate ! maybe I was a bit rude. My fault. I appologize. Probably I'm an old dinozaurus and used to see bare hands of the reviewers. Its Ok. BTW thanks for the review of the fake CQC7. I'm almaust got frauded with that one. Turned out ok. And as for the waved Endura - its funny but waved Cara Cara 2 is better since its FFG. One thing to mention is that added wave feature is the coollest thing on.....axis lock (crossbar, clutch lock whatever). I dig my waved Griptillian.
@@wind-catcher4454 No problem I understand. I'm happy that you did not get scammed. That is why I make those PSA videos. Thanks for watching and have a nice day.
The fake ones: - Less sharp letters on the pivot. - Smaller holes between the 2 words "DEMKO" and "KNIVES" on the pivot. - Larger facet on each side of the slot hole in the blade. - The texture on the titanium scales looks too sharp. - The clip looks too shiny. - The "D" of the word "Demko" on the blade looks more like a capital "I" than a capital "D". What else?
I went with the spacer method (folded some tape over itself and made small holes for the screws to pass through). Just 0.2mm to 0.5mm thickness should be enough, depending on tightness preference.
Yes I agree that is the cheapest way how to resolve this issue and you don't need to have other knives with matching pocket clip configuration. Thanks for sharing.
The clip on mine is also no joke. I added a small strip of folded tape under the flat part with the screws to act as a spacer. That extra 0.2mm thickness makes the clip useable now, but 0.3-0.5mm is likely better. Would've gone clip-less if the screws weren't so long and could be screwed back in to fill the holes though!
In your comparisons you showed a Boker Plus, Knifecenter exclusive (looked like Micarta scales/handles - what model is that, please. Thanks for the vid. 👍
Hi at 9:41 Boker Plus Jesper Voxnaes Little Friend Burlap Micarta KnifeCenter Exclusive ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-AZizlWb3rew.html
I appreciate you listing all of the important data in the description. Keep it up! I would probably get this knife because I like the tanto visual but sadly this wont be legal to carry in Germany so I'll probably pass.
I like PF. I am a collector, a large part of my collection are budget knives. I still have eleven PF in my collection. They are a good solid built knife. PF was hot at one time, an up and comer. My top two PF's are the Beluga and the Skalor. So take my next comments with a grain of salt. PF has not been able to keep up with their competitors, the likes of Kizer and Kubey. They could stay with their main stay materials of D2/K110 and the occasional 14C28N. But their designs have become boring. I can't remember the last time I bought a PF, its been well over a year ago and I buy an average of 5 knives a month.
Yes I understand and unfortunately you are right this is a problem with a lot of companies they just release so many new models that they become boring because at some point they just repeat the same with small changes. What I like about PF is that they know what they are doing and their knives are priced accordingly. Thanks for sharing and have a nice day.
I have this same knife. Then I tried to swap the scales with my other Rat 1 D2 because it has a satin blade which I like better. I wouldn't work. So then I tried a blade swap and that wouldn't work right either. It wasn't till 30 minutes later that I noticed a few differences between this model made in China and my other Rat 1 made in Taiwan. Thanx for the video my Bladed Brother 👍 ⚔️ ✝️ 🇺🇲
At 10:10 the knife you see is a Chinese OEM design sold under a couple of names like Kesiwo GT956 or Freetiger FT956 or Tunafire 956 You can see the unboxing here ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-0bha4uKDcYs.html
It depends on what you want to use it for. For example, a garden knife to dig in the dirt is excellent as well as a backup garage or tool knife. I would not use it in any situation where my life would depend on It.
Sadly, the more expensive a knife is, the less likely I would EDC or use it and more sadly, I could not afford to buy two of every knife I wanted. Thank you for showing.
I picked one up during the international knife day sale at Boker. I like this knife, but I don't know if I would have paid $141. The sale price of $99 seemed fair enough. I'm glad you showed the clip being tight. They always fall short with their clips beginning with the Kwaiken. You would think they would make a better one, especially since this is a "plus" model. I plan on having different scales and a custom clip made by another RU-vidr who has one. All in all, like you said it is a robust knife. Probably not that great for small hands.
I just got this earbuds today ❤ trying them out all night and what the F ! They are damn awesome for the price I paid ! I love them , they have the sounds and quality of my $189 JBL pro I had , love it love it
If boker would stop charging $125 for all their $75 knives, id probably own a few of them. Great design, but i just paid $15 more for a LNIB Spyderco GB2.
Yes, Exactly my best guess is that Boker has set the dealer pricing way too high for the USA market because that 75-80$ after discount at European dealers is possible. I would probably recommend waiting for a sale the price will go down. I saw some crazy good discounts on broker knives.
Problem with that wtch is precise very, problem small movment and 0 reserve 8 to 10 hours, when open my whatchmen he don t belive how it s work whatch 50 mm with small movment it s half of movment .
I remember way back in the day, there was a guy making g10 replacement thumbstuds for the Kershaw Blur. I never tried them, but i thought it was a cool idea. Im always surprised it hasnt come again, especially now that everyone with a Dremel, some 9-volts and a WSPA calls themselves a "professional knife modder."
Mainly to not have to clean all the knives after I make the videos Carbon blades rust easy just by touching them with bare fingers. I also like to keep my knives in good condition there is no way I could use them all so after the video is made they go into a display cabinet or back in the box as you correctly mentioned to be admired. Thanks for watching.
What website? because the manufacturer's website has it at 57-59 srmknives.com/products/411l-mn-14c28n-blade-g10-handle-ambi-lock I have my details straight. Thanks for watching.
