The mission of the WDSF DanceSport Academy is to provide trainers, coaches, adjudicators and the athletes with comprehensive and up-to-date information on all aspects of DanceSport. Through its Academy, WDSF fosters the sport’s development on a global scale, by establishing and maintaining defined standards in the education of coaches and officials, and by making know-how available to the athletes.
Going beyond the traditional transfer of knowledge through congresses - and taking a more holistic and, at times, a scientific approach - the WDSF DanceSport Academy provides its services through state-of-the-art technology and through workshops.
1ST the female Russian dancer is beautiful , wish she would have smiled once....Great lesson........ In American I would have use the dance " Bolero " as an example and The terminology 4 this connection I would phrase as ............." compression " & " Leverage "
да уж! как некрасиво выпячивать вперед расслабленный живот!..к спорту не имеет никакого отношения...так делают те, кто в спорте вообще ничего не понимают!
It was great to see confirmation on the counting of the time step,,,ie 1 2 3 4 and 1....There are so many videos with the counting or saying cha cha cha instead of counting in the correct way....and just starting on count 2,, Anyway I was taught all these elements 30 years ago and it was drilled into my brain....so when i see demonstrations of incorrect timing it is very irritating Thanks once again for your confirmation of what i was taught...A great video❤🩹,
I really look up to Peter Stokkebroe, his analytical thinking speaks to my heart, whenever a possible question is raised he proceeds to answer them immediately.
Excellent tips! Competitive dancers should repeatedly watching and studying the content. Other than the less than par audio, this video is substantial. Thanks you Evaldas & Ieva.
I had studied Paso Doble myself for years. I even went to France - one of the country's originators of the dance, to dance paso with my former dancing partner socially. From its Spanish-dancing use derived from the inspiration of the bullfighting scenes, including the use of flamenco figures, the "Appel" is used by the matador to beckon the bull to charge. It is something like a "bravade." As Marina said, the Appel is used to start a lot of basic paso figures, including the Displacement, The Ecart, the 16, and even The Promenade. In the olden days, dance competitors would "stamp loudly" on the Appel in Latin dance heats, but now, modern instructors are now telling paso dancers not to stamp "too loudly" on the Appel, fearing that it could mar the character and the essence of this dramatic, theatrical dance. Some paso dancers still want to stamp on the "Appel" loudly to create the dramatic character of the dance usually against instructors' wishes, so in my opinion, this is not going to be a clear-cut solution to this.
All what you say is false and racist. France don't create pasodoble, they copied it after centuries. Spanish people don't imitate bullfights, wtf this shit is?
