This is for my friend Tracy from Cornwall who died aged 59 of a brain tumour on 8 September 2022. Her mum, who is still alive, is called Shirley. X

Such a poignant film that still works now and truly groundbreaking with an outstanding cast A very apt soundtrack so bittersweet.. Thanks for posting xxx

I just wanted to say to the creator: i already liked the song, but i loved this version and you melded it with the footage perfectly to tell a total story in less than 4 minutes!

Can't believe it took me 10 yrs to find this one. Lovely version and so nice to see both artists reaching back and 'reigniting' this gem of a tune from Talking to the Tax Man About Poetry, a legendary 80s album. TY!

~ when one has to endure endless YEARS-DECADES of painful stalking from a community that thinks nothing of posting MY private cell phone number online and then i have to deal with the Shirley's of the world who think nothing of calling ME on a Sunday morning and harassing ME after they have done their "Research" = Online Stalking of me--it takes a certain kind of patience with these intrusive Shirleys that really i don't have and have never had and i guess my "foul mouth!"--really upsets all those Shirleys and they are mad at me because i have "such a foul mouth!"--maybe these Shirleys should stop stalking me and getting my private cell phone number and maybe they should stop posting MY private cell phone number online because hell knows i never did! Maybe when a person has Cancer! these henny penny Shirleys who are FAR too judgmental and who cant mind their own damn business!!!!- should stay the hell away from ME!- because Yeah, I Definitely DO cuss. Maybe i will have to start posting ALL of these Shirleys Private Cell phone numbers online just like they are doing to ME. Except I have something called Decency and Common Sense and I would not do that to them. Not unless, they called harass ME and HARASSED ME first. And they are.....

By the point of making this song, Johnny had perfected that shimmering sound. I can understand why he moved onto other things for a while. But we definitely got a nostalgic tune with 'Hi Hello' a couple years ago. Just glad both of these guys are still going.
