What the internet really needs is more mediocre cycling videos. Thankfully I’m here to fill that void (you’re welcome) and will be doing so as I attempt various audaxes, brevets and randonnees.

Paul, I love your videos. You are absolutely hilarious. You're like a funny version of Will Ferrell. On a more serious note, I am in awe of your cycling endurance. I recently completed my first 100K, and I was done. I look forward to more of your adventures.
Wow Roger… that’s high praise indeed! I’m glad you enjoy my nonsensical idiocy… I really do question why, and if it’s worth making videos. Feedback like yours makes me realise that maybe it’s not all in vain! Well done on your 100km. Try a 150 next. Before you know it you’ll be doing a 200… and then who knows what. You may even end up giving your undercarriage a name, just like me and Gilbert!
Seeing that you don't class yourself as a level 10 coffee wanker. You'll be warmly welcomed at my establishment for brew. I'd still take the money off a level 10 though.🤔
Why are all modern helmets now oversized and shaped like a bloody mushroom cap?! It's absolutely infuriating. Thought I'd beaten the trend by ordering a kids size from Giro but nope, still feckin' huge and still made me look like Toad from Super Mario. Yours is a lovely colour, at least...
Sponsored content? 🤣 Was quite nice in England/Wales this weekend. Was wondering if we were going to pass you in the van on our way to Hay...but you were too quick.
We all need something to believe in 🤣Your videos are so much fun... loved the bit when you're riding past the cows!! Great bike ride, and that coffee looked worth it!! J
I'm a mate of yours, my names Martin and I have an Open bike, but I'm probably just a wa*ker 😀😀. Keep up the videos, it s great listening to you talking b*llocks whilst I'm not riding with you 😉😂
Blatant shilling for the Welsh Coffee Shop, award wining coffee at Ogmore-by-Sea, open 9-4 Mon-Sun, all major credit cards accepted. Better watch it, or the controversial cyclist will be on your case.
Why hello mucker, see u ain’t been getting very saddlesore lately aver yeeeer 😆😆😆,class vid the ending was mint with Nelly the dog 🫠,ok me old BEAN look forward to the next one stay safe be happy tat tar
I did see an awesome Volvo 240, but not until it was too late to get the camera going. And a massive pile of the good stuff, but behind a big hedge. Must try harder!
Funny you should ask… I’m currently half way through a 500km ride to get a cup of coffee. The GoPro is with me, so watch this space… should be a new video online on Sunday or Monday. And stop being so needy!
Yeah… kind of lost my mojo for filming. It doesn’t seem worth taking the camera on smaller rides or standard 200km audaxes, so I’m just taking on the bigger, more interesting routes. No point taking the camera just for the sake of it. And, sometimes, I just like to ride for myself.
Congratulations on finishing LEJOG… you’ll remember that ride forever. And LEL will be just as memorable… maybe see you on the road!! And thanks for watching.
Fantastic effort. It's strange, I really enjoy watching these long Audax videos.....especially yours. They fascinate me. But it just reinforces why I don't want to do them 🤣🤣. I've done a couple of 204 mile solo rides in 14 hrs including breaks, and that was hard enough. But what you're doing is on another level, I don't think I want to put my body through that. 🤣
Oh come on in… the water’s lovely! If you can do 200+ miles you can do so much more. It’s just a matter of trying to ignore the inevitable boredom and nausea, but those phases never last!
@@SaddleSore Funnily enough, I never had any nausea on those rides. Just very sore backside and feet, and slumps in energy even though I ate and drank loads. But yes the boredom is something else. Maybe they weren't long enough for nausea to set in.. The last one I did a year ago was in 28 degree heat with relentless sun. So I did have a bit of sunstroke. With The way I felt afterwards, the thought of doing it again and again after only a few hours sleep would fill me with dread.
Best fish and chips you’ll ever eat at Warwick ❤. I love the place. Just been on holiday down there eeeee what’s the chances eh haha - also congratulations is in order 🍻
Marvellous effort! And yes, it makes perfect sense now - I always _did_ think the Supergrass lead was a bit up himself. No wonder he sang "We're allllriiiight!" so heartily; of course you're alright when you live in a bloomin' castle! How the other 'alf live, eh?!
I’m not sure I’m the best person to ask about training… I just ride my bike as often and as far as life lets me! It takes time to build up (a handful of years) in terms of distance and experience. Every ride teaches me something new!
Well done Paul. Thanks for taking the time to record and share. And Adam is gonna absolutely be beside himself with joy and happiness when he sees those Jimnys . 😁
Brilliant video. I loved the crazy starting to come out about halfway round. You've made me feel much better knowing I'm not the only one that happens to. Kudos for the LEL finish. It's on my list 🤘
