Seadogs Gundog Training is a husband and wife team Rob & Julie. We offer 1:1 training, residential, field courses, holidays and online courses. Although we specialise in the gundog breeds, we work with all dog breeds. Every dog deserves to be trained and mentally stimulated and we can work with you to achieve that through one of our many packages. We have over 35 years experience of shooting and working gundogs in the field. We have been involved in beating and picking up on a number of shoots from family to commercial. Rob also rough shoots over his dogs and shoots on driven days with a peg dog as a companion.
I like this a lot. Thought it was a little mean to take the balls away, but now fully understand why. Glad you put the one in at the end to finish the hunt. My old gundog trainer always said end on a high and help the dog finish the exercise, and if the dog can't complete it, make it easier so they come away feeling accomplished. I'll try this on our Cocker. Thank you.
Do you recommend any brand of slip lead? I have a 4 year old springer and I've used an ancol slip lead since he was 6 months old. I always use the figure of 8 but find the ancol lead to be slightly thick.
