This has been an educational video. We’ve just bought a newer Swift caravan (2023 model). It will be our first time having an onboard water system. We are about to go away in September 2024, and I will be following your instructional tutorial exactly as you showed in the video. We’ve also got the Floe gadget, which we will be using in October before put our caravan away for the winter.
My big tip as an owner of one of these is make sure you have your caravan/ trailer wiring colour codes before you start AND check the wires against the colour code diagram. Many diagrams exist on the internet and there is an ISO standard (ISO 11446) for the 13 pin plug, but many manufacturers don't conform to the standard - as I found out.
When using the water boiler on electric and changing to gas. Do I need to turn the electric water heater off then light the gas or does it have to be turned on all the time.
Thx for the video! Does it mean I need to wait general 15minutes before I turn on the fan or just in the automatic mode? Today I just used the ultra heat for the first time without gas and it took ages before it became warm. Without the fan it was super hot at the truma heater but with fan on it was mostly cold air.
Hi Matt, nice to meet you today and thanks for showing us around the (2024) 304. This thing really does feel a lot bigger inside than I expected for the weight. The layout is very clever, and definitely my favourite of all the similar sized caravans we've seen. Just have to convince Cara that a caravan. and not a van, is the right choice for our needs (and budget) now. I forgot to ask, does the 304 come with a solar panel for festival / off grid use? If not, is that something you guys can add / fit to these?
Ive got one of these on a 2021 and not much different. I love it but it has its downfalls that still havent been improved on the 2024 model. Poor lighting in the bedroom. No corner dressing table in the bedroom for the good lady wife (i hear this gripe.m every day). No sockets by the beds. Shower is too small and my wife has cut her foot on the folding door several times. Elddis/Compass managed to fit a good size shower on the same layout. All the light switches in an odd place and we play the gmae every time on which switch does what! You would also think that this day and age coachman would have a more modern control panel that can aslo be controlled through an app. All things i didnt expect from a Coachman but the quality is def above that on my previous Compass.
Hi , I have the Wolf Air/Water Heater in Canada , the same as the Truma, same LCD control panel. When I program it from the start, the flame icon is not flashing. It is solid right away from the start. The water is in hot mode, the heater at 30 degrees and I am in gas mode. When I move from indoor heat icon to Water temp Icon the flame remains solid, I have a 25 gallon tank. There are no errors in the screen. Isn't it supposed to be flashing till it reaches either the 30C for the indoor heat or 60C for the hot water? Thank you so much
I find that when I plug my iPod into the usb, it plays track at random, shuffle, setting rather than starting where I had a specific track that I was listening to: any idea about how to change that, please?
What a lovely English voice. How I miss the England I was born into. We have been (and are being) invaded by foreigners who are displacing us, unfortunately.
