Are you still around? Love your channel!! Do you know if the key code on the box matches the pins? Got a new one given to me that someone found for .25 cents. No key and having difficulty picking it. I have a pinning tray for this and don’t really want to make a key when I want to change it but I might just have to. I took it to the locksmith and they had an attitude and refused to even look at it. Any suggestions? Can I shim it open? Wish me luck!!
I'm around when I have time. I haven't made videos because of work and family life. If you have the box with a code it could be the key code. this lock has 6pins and is no different from picking a Basic American lock. You can't shim it because of the shackle design. I would suggest heavy-ish tension and when American lock pins set it's nice and crisp. and when your in a serrated pin it's a faint feel. Keep at it and you'll get it!
Just purchased on Amazon. Will be using for retail security gate. Hope the shroud is tall enough, and Molybdenum shackle is what they say it is. Bolt croppers are biggest concern.
The bell ha been activated buddy, great video, skilfully picked. I'm stuck on a series at the min with all serrated pins. Just can't get it done for some reason.
I got the same style on my trailer.. Trimax puck luck. Looks exactly the same. I also have the guard around it. Most dummies trying to break in doubt have your skills. At the end of the day it's junk. Great video man. Subscribed!
Masterkey25 loved watching it thanks.Your JA pick was really good even LPL named the JA in his top 10 nasty keyways his had some really good key bitting.
Nicely picked.i have the JA,JB STX and JE in that lock and its big brother the 270S70 and its cylinder is deep into the lock makes it a tricky pick. Key bidding on mine is pretty tricky with pin 1 and 5 very deep cuts protecting high cuts
Nice work! It all turned out well. That lock has not known so much love. :) Key came out beautifully. Much satisfaction in changing a lock and making something quite unique. I've spent the last couple of days modifying a Lockwood to take a BiLock cylinder. A both fun and scary task. :) Oh, 570 series, btw. The 334's, 356S63, 270S70, 290S84 and the 570 oval all take this plug. Same plug will also fit into the Abus 83 series padlock, Carbine padlock and some other things, probably.
Noctis Motus Thanks! I dont know what it is about it but I baby the crap out of it lolI agree after you put in a bunch of work and time it's really satisfying to see it finally work. I knew it was something like that.lol That's good to know and it also explains why it's so easy for them to swap the plug in so many different locks.
Hmm, I'm pretty sure that with a little filing to reduce thickness, that a JB key will fit that lock. I have a spare pre-cut JB that I can send to you if you would like to have a shot at it.
Jeff Moss yep me too.The JA with extreme bidding is next to impossible to open.LPL can't open one of his JA with extreme bidding. I have all the j series and definitely a hard pick.If you can find a M marked key they will fit into all the J series and some other ML plugs
Very cool lock buddy, that keyway is nasty. I have cut my own warding into a similar key on a medeco before and it worked great... I am currently working on a Falcom Instakey... Another nesty keyway. lol Great video bud.
Steel Pinnings thanks, yea she does have a nasty keyway. thats good to hear because I'm thinking about trying it with these 2. I just have to find something somewhat close. wants that the one from the July video? I've seen a few with some crazy keyways.
Masterkey25 Yeah, the Falcon in that one is the one I am working on now... Jeff was telling me that Instaley makes it where the local hardware key cutters cut a certain amount to keep a locksmith from having to get involved with something as simple as a key. But that makes for a whole new area for ways to get precuts.
Jeff Moss no worries, Its just fine without them. I appreciate the offer. I didn't think about how they might not fit with actual key and master pins. If I really wanted to I could make the originals fit.
Sweet video bud, and awesome channel.... Congrats on growing so fast... Sad I missed being in your first 50 suns... But 65 is my number now... Will look forward to your future videos. I just love finding great new channels. Kudos buddy if you are looking for a lock swaphit me up... krown_k@yahoo.com
Steel Pinnings Thanks and it means a lot. no worries, I've actually been pretty surprised how many people like the videos. I guess better late then never , but I'm definitely happy to have you as a sub. I must be doing something right when steel pinning is sub. lol. as far as the lockswap, I'll get ahold of you soon-ish because I'm running out of stuff to pick. btw my e-mail is daltonj21@gmail.com
excellent job. I love ASSA. the lock bible looks like the v10 I have. I thought yours was a v10 when I first saw it. it has the same brass plate on the top that just falls off.
Chris Ahrens LHG Thank you! I'm with you there, assa locks are some of my favorite. I wish it was a v10, maybe another year and my piggy bank will be full enough to get one off ebay. lol I figured that was the deal with the plate.
Masterkey25 makes it easier to get the pins out though. great job on that twin very difficult lock. make sure tumbl3r sees it he gets a kick out of those gin spools lol
Chris Ahrens LHG Yea it does, I'm sure top loading them helps speed up pinning at the factory. I planned on it, I think tumbl3r and I feel the same about them. I'm hoping not to run into them for a long time. lol
Tipene Nga Puhi they say Fugong on the handles and I got them from 20nineteen.com I'd say they are the same as the goso, but they have a grenade style handle ,then I put heat shrink on them.
