Wow thanks for video..... I was about ready to do something drastic to that microwave! The first time I worked on it was last week. Tore the front off and thought it was the middle switch...popped it out and it seemed to work again so put it together enough to try it and BAM it worked! I was patting myself on the back for the last week...until just a couple hours ago it did the same thing...blew breaker immediately on start up. I was thinking about maybe taking it out...like the ending its life take out. I wasn’t even looking for another fix on RU-vid...just figured it was the same problem....when your video shows up on my page....thank you Jesus....had to be a god thing!
That was happening probably two years ago I did exactly what you're doing except with a knife and it would work but then it stopped and now it's completely as if the fuse is blown only the fuse is not blown in a door latch actually completely like bypass like a kill switch
Akhil's fix is better than the zip ties. Best to drill a pilot hole for a #6x2" screw as there may not be much housing left to use a thicker #8. Don't over torque the screw as you risk splitting the plastic housing. Not sure how permanent any fix will be as the housing is so brittle. What a horrible design. Thanks for the inspiration!
Wonderful! Screw did the trick. Took the shade apart as per your video on the first one. For the 2nd one, just spread the 2 sides of the shade near the shaft enough to drive in the screw just behind the shaft. This was much faster.
thanks for the great guide. just fixed ours and only took about 10 minutes thanks to this. While I didn't see it mentioned, I would recommend drilling a pilot hole in the plastic first before going in with the screw.
I didn't check altima... I am assuming you are talking about the clip which we have to remove as the first step, before doing anything right? For pathfinder I just had to use a screw driver with flat head in the middle and twist a bit.
I have seen similar issues in Hyundai too... it is the sin visor design... not Nissan. I have 2 Nissan. Both working good overall. Small problems like this can be fixed for a few dollar and few hours. And if the deal is good on car, don't worry too much.
This was AWESOME!....Yes...The dealer sells the entire visor for $125-$140. In my situation, the entire Plastic section broke. Placing the screw through the Metal Clamp was ingenious! Thank you for sharing...saved me money and peace of mind that if I have to suddenly stop, I won't hit my forehead against the Visor....Nissan should learn from this engineering trick! Much appreciate. (Added Note: When separating the visor, be careful prying the half apart...the snap ons have plastic clips, so be careful not to pull apart to hard...they can break.) THANK YOU AKHIL! great Video!
Excellent video, has save me at least $100, I've repaired the passenger side. I'm sure the driver's side will go next. not very difficult at all. probably took me 15 minutes
