I didn't know Spielberg made this! I thought he just made "The BFG" in 2016. Speaking of the BFG, It was an okay adaptation, but I'm just not a big Roald Dahl fan in general. I thought there were some great segments and some parts had some real life, but for the most part it was just so robotic and scripted. It had weak pacing and an inconsistent tone, and while it may have been appealing to a child (due to the great visuals) it just fell flat in other areas.
