You have literally said everything I am thinking! I have a few vintage synths that really the only reason I've kept them is because of the nostalgia. They sound great, but they sit in my studio more for decoration than music making. I'm at a crossroads here, because they don't really owe me anything, and I honestly doubt I'll get much for them. But, them just being there is starting to cause me some anxiety and guilt lol. I have way more sounds between my DAWs, Arturia software and Midi controllers, a Microfreak, and some Volcas. I do have a Jupiter-50 that I I love and play regularly, and a VR-09 that I gig with...and between all of those, its more than I'll ever use! Ugh!
Nice! I like to record long takes, with plenty of modulation and variance, as I find this helps me in the sequencing stages keep the sounds moving and fresh.
Still using the DFAM? I'd love to see a "gear retrospective" video from you reflecting on what you liked about a piece, whether it's left an impression on your software workflow.
I’m not using it much at the moment, right now I’m in a “software only” period. However I expect the gear virus to infect me again at some point in the near future 😅

Man they are all on discount ... cuz why make a apc with no faders ..... ?? Damn. I miss my channel mixer (project mix i/o ) got back into ableton and it doesn't support it anymore. Got push 2 but I hate not having damn mixer faders . Got carpeltunel on my wrists now and hate mixing songs. .
Can’t get Push 2 to work with Ableton live 12 and I don’t have any other version to try it out on, support hasn’t been that helpful but I’m gonna try to be hopeful, if i can’t figure out the issue, selling it and getting APC40 would most likely be worth it, nice video
Coming from a DJ and a DAWless background, i tried to learn DAW ableton the past 1 year but at no success due to i got used to knobs and faders, i hate the Mouse and Keyboard idea as a whole, but after i discovered this controller my problem is fixed and finally found a controller wok for me. I wish i had it long time ago, and i cant wait for AKAI to make Mk3 of apc40.
