I'm a filmmaker, artist, veteran and I have a lot of hobbies. Here I want to share things that I make, talk about things I like and interact with other creatives. I'll talk movies, games, books and occasionally showcase different passion projects.
I desperately hope GTA 6 has far more options for duos and solo players. The fact that every heist except the fleeca job required 4 players was insane. Especially with the strict failure parameters. Every mission was just built to fail if the random you had to invite was an idiot/dickwad.
I came here to originally comment, trying to summarize GTA Online is like trying to summarize a burger with chalk for filling. I was actually surprised by a well made video.
I remember being so jazzed for Online, i watched the trailer so many times! i loved the idea of creating my own character but still being in the GTA universe.
the moment they gave us the Deluxo, it was all over... Inflation hit us hard, Griefers had even stronger impotent rages and the endless grind and lack of anti-cheat created the worst wave of cheat menus to ever exist. it was all over.
You were subjective, made your point clear and spoke well. Video was nicely edited and I can see you put in effort to make the scenes interesting by filming the in different places, like your car. Good video bro, keep it up. :D
When this game came out, I thought we were going to play a lot of heists. No we got orginal heist, Casino heist and Cayo heist. Doomsday heist is not a heist. Business were boring
I don’t know who you think you are, coming in here with your second ever video on this channel and making it so good that I subbed right away. Looking forward to part 2 and what else you may have in store.
Great bit of analysis going on here. As you said, GTA Online is so gargantuan that actually trying to dissect it is a challenge. I think you really pulled it off. Regarding your concerns at the end of the video about it being meandering, try not to let self-doubt take too much control. If you continue making videos in this style then you're onto a real winner. To be more specific, the first half of the video does a perfect job of using what was added to the game to show how it affected the player experience (for both you and for others). Anecdotes about players identifying the best launch missions to make money, rockstar's 30k/30min approach, passive income leading to price inflation... all these elements really give depth and richness to the story. It made it really clear how things played out, but also why they played out as they did. I played GTA Online for years and this made me appreciate that experience more than I already did. You may be correct that the second half is a wee bit meandering. I'd say the momentum of the video carries it through to the end, but there is a bit of a "this happened, then this happened" without much sense of cause and effect. Thinking of that classic bit of advice from Matt Stone & Trey Parker, where they suggest aiming for "therefore" and "but" as conjunctives rather than "and then". I'm not sure I'm well-positioned to give writing advice here; I don't think I've cut my teeth on "proper" writing long enough, but since you mentioned it's your first time writing out a script, here's my two cents. Scripts always start with a core idea, but it's easy to lose sense of it once you're knee-deep in writing. I like to write out my main direction in just a sentence, then keep it in view while I'm writing. If I ever feel lost, I try to pull the prose back to that core concept, then continue. It gives me just enough freedom to go on tangents, so long as they return to the main focus. Anyway, love the video, excited to see more. Subscribed
