You forgot to mention the infuriating menu system for the league menus, having to navigate through all the leagues I'm not even in and having to search through sub menus to find the leagues I'm actually part of!
F1 Fantasy is fun, but it's overly frustrating because you can't consistently score well as a good manager because of the stupid scoring system. My changes would be: 1. Quali DNFs should be -3, race DNFs -5, quali DSQs -5, race DSQs -10, DOTD to 1 and FL to 3 (makes the game more skill-based) 2. Decrease driver pricing in general (constructors are currently way better value than drivers, so not everyone is running the same constructor pairing, and we can get some more powerful teams - 5 premium assets by the end of the season instead of 4) 3. Points for all finishing positions in the race - 40, 32, 28, 24, 20, 18, 16, 14, 12, 11, 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 (so it's not just about gaining positions for backmarkers) 4. Price changes related to points per million (so one point can't make a difference of 0.5M/0.7M, and expensive drivers can't just drop 0.7M because of a mechanical failure) I could go on with more changes but I think these ones need to be made ASAP!
Yeah I like those ideas and honestly there is nothing stopping them from implementing these sorts of things that would make the game 10 times better than it is right now!
totally agree with you. some more ideas: - price tiers (A,B,C) are stupid. changes should base on the individual price. cheap drivers should need less points to increase. Example: bottas costs around 7-8 mil. he should need 4 points (50% of his price) to keep his price. Norris costs 26 mil so he needs 13 points to remain at his price. I like your ideas on the +/- 0.1, 0.3 and 0.5. -just some little extra points for pole position. its definitely a valuable achievement in the sport, so it should be rewarded. -as a driver, beating your teammate should get you some little extra points (quail and race). if you perform significantly better/worse (5 or more places) you should get extra (negative) points (imagine alonso getting the respect he clearly deserves lol) - add streaks to the game. If a driver performs constantly on a good level he should be rewarded (not sure about this. Could end in everbody choosing the same drivers on a streak (just like right now) -constructors shouldnt be rewarded for overtakes and positions gained/lost. its about the drivers skill. teams should only get points for actual results + pitstops (i think pitstops is actually one of the good assets in the game) -i like the points for fastest lap and dotd but its ofc overpowerd, 3pts would be nice. They are nice side quests -important for me: different types of DNFs 1. e.g. engine failure: constructor gets negative points, driver is not punished 2. driver crashes on his own mistake: driver gets punished, not the constructor 3. a driver gets hit by another driver and cant go on: no punishment for the victim, but negative points for the guilty driver (maybe if FIA gives 5 second penalty = 5 negative points) 4. race incident: both drivers get punished (less than if you crash on your own) - season bets before start of the season (championships, driver of the season, Overtake award, best improvement during season,…) maybe these could include ingame votings at the end of the season and you are not allowed to vote for your own pick - teams and drivers should be rewarded if they perform better than in the previous 3-5 races. „Williams were performing poorly during the last 3 races? They brought an update this weekend and i think they will be better so maybe i pick them this time!“ why dont we reward a player having a good idea nobody else thought about? This could solve the problem about the huge difference between good and bad constructors many more ideas, this game needs to do better. I think f1 is a great sport for fantasy with all the stats and tactics. The developers shouldnt be scared to add complex game mechanics. Thats what fantasy is about. We love to talk endlessly about all the strategies and possibilities. And new players could still enjoy the game by just picking their favourite drivers. Make every driver (except stroll) valuable! All in all f1 really deserves a good fantasy game :)
Honestly what a comment! I couldn’t agree more with all of these suggestion and it’s crazy that they don’t just do this as if we can think of these ideas surely they can!!! It’s like they don’t play their fantasy game!
1. Get rid of driver of the day points. Subjective and influenced by comms. 2. Need something in place that where if a Albon gets top 10 in qualifying it's worse than Bottas in last. Bottas can only gain points where Albon can only lose. Doesn't make sense to be better off in last place. 3. Fastest lap is stupid getting points, and not just in fantasy. It shouldn't give points in the actual race!
@@shinyface971 You might have noticed my enthusiasm has waned a little, at the start of the season I was complaining it was all Max / Red Bull game over, now we have a fantastic F1 and for some reason (you mentioned a couple 😂) Fantasy F1 just isn't, my team is practically locked and the luck of the draw determines the race week.
Have you seen the onboard from COL? I can't be 100% sure but I think the divebomb was 50% accident...on the onboard camera he seems to be closing his visor (maybe he forgot to close it as a rookie since it was really hot) and then made an evasive maneuver. what do you think? either way It was an awesome move
Yeah I see what you mean! For me the more I look at it the more it looks like right place right time where he goes for one overtake and everyone sort of just doesn’t go for the racing line so he takes more than what he intended to! Either way I’m gonna give him huge credit and say it was all his idea😂
I am a big Albon supporter and I have been really impressed with Colapinto. In all honesty, I think people are getting too hooked onto Albon's team radio regarding the divebomb. Loads of drivers say silly things and panic in the heat of the moment. when Alex got out the car and was interviewed, he was really calm and admitted Franco didnt do anything wrong. None of us are in the position of these F1 drivers and I think people do get too focussed on team radios. I can see Colapinto is good. With Albon and Sainz as teammates next year, I am rooting for Alex more than ever as I know its a big season coming up for him next year ❤
Honestly it will be a nice breath of fresh air as I love the drivers on the grid right now but doesn't feel like we've had a big influx of rookies for such a long time now!
Fuming my friend who took RIC as a laugh got +1mil and scored only 1 less point to me taking Piastri. How much do you reckon Lawson will cost? Praying it's ~8mil since I'm locked into double saubers/col with my NOR/PIA lineup. 124.5 budget
I thought I did decent, given the circumstances. NOR, PIA, HUL, ALB, COL :: MCL, FER = 222 Pts. Only gained 1 position globally. 703 -> 702. Cried a little when ALB retired, but figured most have him (51%) so not too bad. If RIC drives again I'll be very upset. If DotD was a real thing then I feel PIA or SAI should've gotten it. Great drives from both of them.
Yeah I feel completely the same if he’s at COTA then that will be such a pisstake after all that! And yeah 222 still a good points haul! Better than most!

NORL has 4 undeserved DOTD. It's the universe slowly correcting the injustice. MCL used PIA as a hedge for a late SC/RF so he could get a free pit stop and change to softs. MCL played it correctly. All lot of wrongs didn't occur. It was definitely PIA's inconsistency in quali. That car should have never been lower then QP4.
I changed my NOR/PIA/ZHOU/BOT/COL to NOR/SAI/ALB/BOT/COL in hopes to gain a little budget. Backfired and now can’t afford the team I had before. Sometimes it’s better to not touch the team haha
@@MPyke ALB hit was unexpected. You got unlucky. I've had the opposite experience when I missed deadline to transfer a bad team and then score the most points upto that moment. My time zone offset doesn't allow me to wait for P3 results to lock in team. I swapped MCD to FER. Groaned to see the grid, but FER ended up doing no worse then MCD. The value/points calculation needs adjusting. Late in the season, the C group can lock you into a downward spiral because of limited options. It's a roll of the dice.
No it’s only drivers and also don’t write out Ferrari too soon they have plenty of chances to get good points from positions gained and overtakes ending up around the top 5
I would not risk with vcarbs, their quali pace is good, but looking at the race simulation the race pace is off. I think this is tragic combination for fantasy as you want the complete opposite
Yeah its one of those risks I would only take if you are still very low on budget and you need to get some to compete with the two premium driver asset builds
Honestly Im still of the opinion that Norris is the one to have in even with Russell as Sainz will outscore russell but only by a 0-5 points whereas whoever wins the race will outscore the lot by potentially 10-25 points!
@@zachf1417 agree. I'm ultimately hoping to get to Norris + another tier A driver (still a bit short on budget and will need to trade Ferrari for merc for that) for the sprint races. I'm currently 6th in my mini league, most of the people in front of me have Norris as 2drs + leclerc/piastri... Therefore I'm contemplating leclerc+sainz as a possible differential... Or just go with Norris + Russell and hope Russell gets a surprise podium again😆
What do you think about going wild with my second team (with poor budget) and changing from: Nor + Rus + Col + Zho + Bot + Mcl + Mer To Nor + LEC + Col + Zho + Bot + Mcl + WIl or VCA
I think with a team with a worse budget I would focus more on you cheap drivers instead of the constructors to find those 0.5 million increases so for me if you can figure a way out to get in Albon and tsunoda with colapinto and go from there
Would you go for: Option 1: Nor + SAI + Alb + Bot + Col + Mcl + FER or Option 2: Nor + Lec + ZHO + Bot + Col + Mcl + FER Or in other words: Sai + Alb vs. Lec + ZHO I am currently leaning towards option 1 (Sai + Alb) as they are more likely to increase my budget and I have just been missing a tiny amount to afford the team I really want the last few weeks.
Yeah im more towards option 1 as a little spoiler this is also most likely what I will be running but with zhou instead of Bottas just as he is already in my team! better budget options and if Norris wins Leclerc wont outscore Sainz by a lot anyway!
I would wait till COTA or Brazil as we will have the same questions going into those races of who to 2x Norris or leclerc but with even more points on the cards so better to save it for then!
Its a really hard call as if the cars cant overtake one another then race pace wont matter as much but yeah the worry is they qualify 5th and 6th and even dropping to 9th and 10th would completely destroy their points!
