I hope you don't mind me asking this, but why did toyota feel the need to put out this gr yaris, when it'll be stuck lingering in the supra's shadow?? It'll never be a collectors car like the supra. I mean, the gr86 is literally toyota's version of the i30 nline😅 (looks like a supra, so non car people will think it is a legit supra). Like how Ford replaced the v8 falcon performance with st hot hatches and I thought Ford performance went away when they stopped making cars in Australia. In short, what I am saying is not every car brand needs a hot hatch or some gr86 supra "wannabe" when they already have a car is iconic and will be more valuable. Like I guess it is sort of sad for yaris gr and gr86 owners because their cars won't have the value of a supra....
@@aussiefurbymogwaifan6621 im not sure if you are trolling or not… but GR Yaris is far superior to Supra and sales speaks for itselfs. Nobody wants a overpriced and average Supra and GR Yaris is selling like hot cakes. GR86 is literally a Subaru a yet its much more fun, oldschool and mechanical car over Supra. Again, sales speaks for itselfs.
@jagymeister I'm not, it's just out of curiosity. Although it going through the snow dose remind me a bit of their other iconic vehicle, the land cruiser (now we need some rusty grs😆). So the newer supras have gone down hill since their fast and furious days??
@@andreas000 just how the gr yaris will be easily forgotten in many people's minds even though they "sell like hot cakes", while everyone will forever remember the supra, so I don’t feel there was a need for something that won't be as memorable
@@evansc3580 its not that driver involving, but manual in 981/982 is VERY long. PDK has better gearing and its not bad combination with 4 cyl turbo in my opinion.
I really want a gr86 so dang bad but they are to expensive so rn I have a Toyota celica 02 gt but it gets the job done and it’s only a little slower the only issue is I can’t drift it
