Advice for all you young millennials. Start your own company. Don't work for the old boomer pieces of shit, they will pay you trash wages and when you get injured they will toss you aside. Start small and do a great job. You don't need big trucks, big mixers, big tools. You can do this work manually with you and a friend and reap the big reward at the end of the job.... thousands of dollars in your own pockets rather than supporting some old shit faced baby boomer and his ugly ass grouch wife.
man try pouring and finishing concrete like that in phx az..where its 110 degree at night lol.. if ur a finisher in az u will a+ any job in any state...
this is my daily bread and butter....I take my hat off to all concrete slayers world wide....it is back breaking, hard work,concentration,100% commitment ....ART
could anyone explain the use of the 'rebar' in the application of a driveway?? rebar being the steel mesh they lay down before. I understand it aids in the distribution of tensile forces within concrete structures but what use on a driveway?
A metal poker with a long hose attached which pulls out all the air in the concrete, used before screed and floating, stops the concrete from cracking over time...
These guys are good. I can't tell you enough how valuable it is to have a good eye for moving mud around like that, let alone the stamina. I poured/finished many driveways and sidewalks in the Florida sun. Im retired now, and I watch this and it brings back memories.
Hi, your work ethic is amazing. Two things I wanted to know, what is the guy spraying over the surface at the end, and is there a way to hand mix the concrete and pour it down by hand?
