And they should just let the Code Geass story end there once and for all. The original series' ending was good enough. The way they produced spinoffs and remakes was just an excuse to milk the heck out of the franchise as if they're trying to branch it out like Gundam lol. Code Geass as a mecha genre is good. But it's world-building isn't enough to be as big as Gundam, the story is perfectly good for 1-2 seasons like R1 and R2 did. The movie/series spinoffs were unnecessary.
In the video game, Pascal's demise was a lot different, but just like the anime was extremely sad and tragic. In the game, all the machine children commit suicide so Pascal asks A2 to either kill him or erase his memories. If A2 erases his memories he returns to the village happy and ignorant of the truth, selling the body parts of the dead children. It's really grim but that's NieR for you 😢
@@Jordan52 Yeah, honestly, the anime's version of Pascal's demise is more and less sad at the same time for different reasons. It serves as the example that this is one of the most cruel anime/video game worlds. Pascal treasured the machine kids more than anything else so for him to be blown up by one of those kids is an even more cruel way to go out as he doesn't even resist because after losing everything he lost the will to live. In the game at least you had the option to save him while still being given a grim fate as he ends up selling the dead children's body parts unaware of the horrific truth, and if you kill him A2 is able to mercifully put him down. But his fate in the game is more emotionally traumatic because they died via suicide it's a direct result of Pascal teaching them what fear is making their demise feel more avoidable. It's heartbreaking because as the player, you know Pascal did nothing wrong, and now is left with the guilt over playing a part of why he lost everything. In the anime he dies without A2 witnessing it but in the game we're forced to decide what to do with him and if you erase his memories we're also treated to listening to Pascals best memories of the kids as we delete each one of them making it hurt even worse. Ah, classic NieR 😢
You know what sir, this is the first time 9S heared 2B say ' Nines '. According to the game novel, 9S didn't hear what 2B said in the bridge scene. 🥲 Also, pods talking in ending is not a replacement for puppet show. It's the actual scene. Pods are thinking what to do and not let 9S find A2.
No! Automata will end here. But I hope they return with season 2 as NieR Replicant(prequel). So many things, I mean so many things in automata are from replicant. Oh man, Replicant is the father, mother of all the pain we have seen in Automata. Gamers literally cry on live streams. 😂🥲
Very mixed feelings about this one. Felt like production issues were driving the narrative in the way that it wanted to get rid of as many characters as possible in the shortest amount of time, which is not really AT ALL the theme of the game. Without spoiling anything, the anime was doing a great job so far of depicting the theme of survivor's guilt and sort of a "life goes on" vibe but completely jumped the shark in this episode. And that's not me being upset at the fate of the characters. Some fates are arguably worse in the game, but much more nuanced.
A very fitting end for a directionless spinoff. Hope they at least release the OST so, cause there was 1 really good track. Nothing else is salvageable :D Ty for suffering alongside with us, Jordan.
I dont know how to feel about Hachi being married like this… but on the other hand i’m happy for her as well, it was her dream to be married and be a housewife, but i can see why she agreed because she’s also a huge trapnest fan and wouldn’t want the band to be in trouble
I love how this show does the same thing as Gintama, as in like the end of an arc (In this case season) has a little screen with a collage of the runtime with the ed/op.
Thanks for the reaction and thanks for talking about my comment. About the future scenes, that timeline is still moving forward so how can we be sure that nothing will happen to the main characters? Because of the future scenes still developing I think those future monologues (at the end and beginning of each chapter) could be told in an even more distant future. I just thought about this now, so don't worry about not considering this. Your videos are really fun and make me find new perspectives.
i get not liking the future stuff but i feel like u might appreciate it more looking back as they are quite important in building up later stuff theres still a lot of mystery imo especially regarding nana osaki, and seeing more of future creates even more questions for things. The Nana monologues at the end of every episode/chapter are from the future reflecting on past events so it makes sense to focus on the future events. And tbf we already know the characters are doing relatively well bc of the final episode of the anime ,but again i get not liking seeing too much of it
Holo's plan. Lie your way in and then scare the girl with her ears. They cut out some parts. Lawrence should have had a knapsack over his shoulder in the church with ropes to tie her up if needed in it. There also was a lot more discussion before Holo took off her hood and revealed her ears about them not being from Enberch. Same when Lawrence and Elsa had a talk about faith. While Elsa was passed out Lawrence read the letters on her desk and learned more about the troubles that she was facing with the church in Enberch and they talked more about the challenges Elsa was facing. While this episode did cause Elsa to have questions of faith, the questions out two heroes faced were more earthly in nature. Elsa and Evan shouldn't even be a couple yet they get on better then Lawrence and Holo. Evan and Elsa are adorable, but she clearly calls the shots in their relationship. Evan is very much content with that it seems as well. Holo being a little insecure about seeing how well Elsa and Evan get along and Lawrence being a little envious that their relationship does not come as easily was a nice moment of introspection between them. Neither one wants to admit that the journey is starting to become more about them then actually about getting Holo to Yoistu because neither of them want to admit they are an actual couple and maybe someday they might need a priest for entirely different reasons lol Two fools brave enough to face swords and wild beasts. Yet still far to scared to confess to one another that wherever their journey may end, they want to end up there together. Lawrence is around 25 at this time. Evan and Elsa are both around 18 - 19. Lawrence has basically been working since he was around 12. He left home around that age to be an apprentice to a merchant. When he was around 17 or 18 he took on his own route which retraces the path of the patron saint of his town and he's been a traveling merchant on the road ever since. In the novel when Elsa walked in on them Lawrence was giving Holo a neck and shoulder message, he did not just have his arm around her. But her snuggling up and falling asleep on his lap was exactly as it was in the book. The situation has definitely turned serious. Someone died in Enberch from the wheat that Tereo sold to them. That will no doubt escalate the issues between the town and the village. Seems the townsfolk think the two outsiders who happen to also be selling wheat have something to do with all this as well Hopefully Holo can find what she is looking for in that book and gets to read it before the villagers try to string them up. Things are going to get interesting over these last 3 episodes.

And, wow those paparazzis are the worst, i know that nana will not believe that Ren will cheat on her, but i think it’s more of she knows that Ren feels lonely being away from her and not being able to talk to her… their love for each other is so extreme, brutal almost for them both… it’s hard to watch sometimes… anyway thank you for the reaction always!
Yeah this episode was definitely a slap in the face. I really dont know how Natsuki and Atri's relationship is going to recover. I definitely get why Natsuki feels betrayed here. He was given all this hope for it to come crashing down the next minute. It wouldnt surprise me if Atri doesnt even understand how terrible her actions are because for her it's all about making him happy. She definitely does have some awareness though that she has lied and been deceptive to give Natsuki what she thinks he wants based on that diary log. I would be questioning everything now if I was Natsuki to be honest. Natsuki was already isolated when he met Atri he's definitely going to take 10 steps back from here on out. I really like how robotic Atri's voice sounded in that moment with the diary entries and I did feel like she was lying last episode but having it confirmed really blows and Im excited and worried about whats next.
If you love discovering games, notes, old records papers, etc yhen you will love the game sir. Specially as 9S we collect all stuffs from old world, project gestalt(to save humanity which failed), and more about automata story line/about yorha & mchines. Also We have a resident evil 4 reference in Automata & RE 1 reference in replicant.

Both Yasu and Nobu always helped Nana. And now it's her chance to help. Nobu is also the songwriter of the band. Yasu is the leader.I also have a curiosity. You said you gave up cigarettes. Can't the same effect from smoking wee* be obtained by eating it? As far as I know smoking anything is very bad for the body.
