This reminds me of when I was a kid. We had an 85-acre pasture for cows, and when we got rid of them all, we built a motocross track in it. We had a Ford 4400 tractor, and I must've spent hundreds of hours building doubles, triples, tabletops, and huge berms everywhere. The soil was very much like what you used to find at Unadilla back in the 80s and 90s before it became a burnt out mess. After a good rain, that soil was so rich, soft, and deep it was crazy. I miss those days in a way that I can not describe. There's nothing good about getting old. Not one single thing.
The '86 RM250 was the beginning of RM250 excellence. It also was the bane of the '87 LT250r as the LT was condemned to inherit and live with the limited engine architecture. The '88 LT250r should have had the '88 RM250 engine architecture - that would have ensured it's domination.
Good video man! Great place to ride as well, reminds me of where I grew up! Bunches of fields, trees, creeks, and some jumps…all natural terrain! Always love the Suzuki RM🔥👌
Ahh bummer... it was definitely a tough one this year though... I think this was my last time in Open C... from here on out I think I will be doing the vet 30
@mikeandrews1899 time flies by too quickly. Those bikes were really fun back then! I still have a few nice ones, still ride, almost 53yrs old & still enjoy riding as much as I did when I started.
@@russellhelms2835 I'm 58 .... Had to drop moto after a pretty severe injury at 51. I still ride today , on my DRZ400 on light trails and mostly mtn forest dirt rds . No lap times , no moto to win or lose , and no money to chase .... Just rolling over some dirt on two wheels . Kinda like when I was a kid , getting off the school bus , pitching my books on the back porch , and going to the shed to get my trail 70 out and riding on the farm 👍 * just much more conservative these days , but still enjoying it !
@@mikeandrews1899yep, those were really great times for me as a kid too! 1979 KX080A & 1982 RM80Z, plenty of Amoco white gas mixed w/Bel-Ray MC1 & 550acres of fields, creeks, some jumps…but never raced. Glad to hear that you are enjoying riding again after recuperating. Hope all is well! I hesitated to message at all over RU-vid (hence very vague)…I’m the old UPS guy from years ago that went into the Marine Corps. Now out of the Corps but still at UPS (32.5yrs)! Good lawerd😂
Just watched your video. I raced some GNCC back in the day. Never heard of a Gobbler? Is that like a much shorter version of a cross country race with a much much easier track? Also how many laps was this or was it like a timed thing 30 min or so?
